My man. This is Matt's world, we just climbing in it ❤️❤️❤️
Appreciate your sharing, yeah I don’t see no need for it either, yes it is cool but sure would love to run your course with my FCX24 Power wagon. I got mine performing right where I want it, well we’ll catch you on the next one peace and chicken grease 😁😁👍👍
I have it for the scx24. Glad to see you get one set up! Always dominating these builds!
EVERY COMP I GO TO WITH THE 24TH SCALES DIG OR 4WS YOU WILL BE IN THE SAME CLASS. 4WS WILL BE MORE USEFUL. I WOULD SEE MY RIGS TEARING THAT DRIVE SHAFT APART, FURITEK BRUSHLESS. THANK YOU FOR SHOWING US, A VERY KOOL CONCEPT.
been trying to find this kit. Dirty hasn't replied to my PM. Thanks for the link Matt!
I have a system that's very similar to that in the works with a locking pin to lock up the back tires while shifted into dig. Need to make a better linkage setup and it'll be fun to mess with! Funny we're somehow on the same page trying to make fcx24 dig rigs lol
Heck yeah! Let me know when it’s ready! Definitely love to check it out and show it off
cool!. wow im blown away at how small these trucks are. i just got my tires in the mail. im still waiting on my fcx24 to come in the mail, but im like wtf that's it lol, they look alot bigger on camera because all you guys zoom im on them.
Haha! Yeah they are tiny. Very easy to take everywhere you go!
Great vid man. Just got mine in the mail last night. Thanks for killing my dreams! Lol. We’ll see. Like you said, an acx24 axle should lock up and give you more of a dig experience but is it really usable? We’ll see.
It’s definitely usable in some cases. Not as good as 4ws for me and I really didn’t like both. Especially in this rig with the 2 speed 3-4 servos is just too much 😆
@@2fmrc
For sure! I’ve been having a great time with this Ultralite running 50 underdrive. Basically like partial dig all the time! I have some more playing to do but it’s not so much that I’ve found it doing anything the other cars can’t do, it’s just how easy it is to do it. Put the slimeballz in the pins for a short test last night and hugely improved the sidewall stability. Hoping I can get this first chassis and body sorted in the next week or so and I’ll get you hooked up. Lexan is here today, so we’ll see how this buck does.
@@texomarc heck yeah man! With the under drive on an Scx24 axle the dig system should work great!
I've been waiting for this.
That shift fork needs to be telescoping 🤔🤣
Yeah for sure lol
Nice job man! Always coming through with awesome builds!
Very cute rc
I'm loving the FCX24 content, this system definitely isn't for me though. I just ordered some McCue extended rear links and was thinking about yours being installed "wrong" on this truck, but you actually mentioned it.. lol. I don't have any parts to make my own high clearance links atm and some of the rods are only shipping from China it looked like when I checked the other day. I was just thinking about the possibility of using a heat gun on low and giving the stock links a slight bend to make them higher clearance.. what do you think?
IF THAT WORKS AND THEY KEEP THEIR STRENGTH, YOU WILL HAVE A SLIGHTLY SHORTER ARM.
@@peteragnello3268 You have to put screws/nails through the ends so they stay at the proper c2c distance. :)
Hit EXPIOWA 's channel. One of his earlier vid's, he shows how to do it. 👍
Matt always coming through with the innovation! Really cool stuff man, no it’s not needed, but why not right!? Haha I have dig on 2 of my 10th scale rigs & don’t really use it that much I forget I have it sometimes 😵💫
Lol yeah I use it quite a bit on my 1/10 rigs but mostly just to turn super tight on top of a rock or something.
I thought it was a birdie but then realized you messing with a 1/24 scale
Put some grease or something in the shaft so that it keeps SOME friction when disconnected?
and maybe some kind of shock/spring on the fingers/servo arm to keep constant pressure on the drive shaft even under extreme articulation?
Yeah I’m gonna play around with maybe a spring or something on the shaft itself so it gets tight when disengaged and maybe it’ll kinda lock the rear a bit. Maybe some thicker grease in the diff and portal gears to put a bit of drag on them also.
What super cool 👍👍❤️😁
Hey Matt, the FMS Katana axles are very similar to the FCX24 axles, just without the portals. They have metal diff gears (at least mine do). They would be cool to build a straight axle SCX24 without the worm gears.
Also, which axles did you say that the Furitek Rampart uses?
Same size diff as the portals?
@@davidpowell9847 Outside of the diff is the same size, but I have no idea about the gears. I can count the gears on my Katana and send you pictures if you would like
@@mr.dillpickle that would be awesome. But you don't have too
@@davidpowell9847 Yeah, I'd be happy to. Sadly, I tested the gears in the FCX24 and it didn't work. If you still want them let me know!
Also, the small gear is a 12 tooth and the larger gear is a 24 tooth
@@mr.dillpickle I appreciate you taking a look that's enough lol thank you
But your drive shaft could reconnect out of phase yes?? Or are the notches synched (different sizes). So that doesn’t happen
No the main part of the driveshaft which is attached to the transmission and axle never move. Just a slider between them.
On the SCX24 wouldn't the worm gear act as a brake for the rear wheels? It needs a slip joint from the servo horn for longer suspension travel and a locking tab on the axle end of the drive shaft to lock up rear wheels.
Dang thats epic
Question.. why do you have the front 2 tires backwards and the rears forwards? Iv noticed you’ve been doing that for a long while now but never knew how come? Do they grab better that way?
I feel like the front’s definitely grab better that way. Honestly I should probably run them all backwards lol. It may just be in my head but it seems like they do better that way to me 😆
2FM RC hey Matt do you know when Maysville is having the next event? Or where a event will be soon. An where can I get a cheap but good servo I got 5 trucks an all of the servos crapped out on me I don't have a job right now but I want to go wheeling 😭😱
They are doing Rocktober Oct 8th-9th
You need one of those salt rifles yeah it shoots salt, best thing ever specially when you hit them in mid air and they go pew the other way 🤣🤣👍👍 It’s lots of fun them damn flies
Hey Matt, do you have any tips to help with front wheels binding on an scx 24? I got new axles and cant really get the lugs tight without the wheels binding to the knuckles.
That’s a very common issue with the scx24 axle design. You may be able to put a small washer or o ring behind the wheel between the hex and wheel if it’s actually hitting the knuckles. If it’s just the wheel nuts causing it you can sometimes put a rubber o ring on just before the wheel nut. It’s very hard to get them tight but not too tight.
@@2fmrc I appreciate it. These things are addictive!
Any thoughts on front wheel overdrive for FCX? Possible? Not worth it?
The only way I’ve achieved it so far is using the metal portal gears that they sent out by accident that are a couple teeth smaller in one axle and the regulars in the other. I also used the scx24 overdrive transmission on a build that’s all Scx24 except the axles and that works. Hopefully someone will make overdrive gears soon!
hi matt, these are for sale for the scx24.but will it fit/work with the fcx24 buddy.are they still available to buy
Hello from southeast alaska how's it going Matt
Good! You?
Have you had any problems with your lizard pros? Mine shuts down sometimes when i turn. Any ideas?
Dang thats epic
