Another great road is “The road to Hana”. Maui, Hawaii. 52 miles, 620 curves, 59 bridges. The number of waterfalls along the way depends on when it rained last and how much.
That sounds magical ♥
RedRoseSeptember22 yes is it
My husband and I did the Road to Hana many years ago, it was truly amazing
@@lunalee5843 More amazing for the passengers than the driver! We went back the other way continuing on. Big mistake!
I have done that road as a passenger.....amazing drive!! It takes a while to drive that 52 miles cause you can’t go very fast on it but worth it. I have also done the Haleakala Road in Maui which is 37 miles going up over 10,000 ft above level. It was an amazing drive as well. On the way down was when I got nauseous.
The Veluwemeer aquaduct is in Harderwijk in The Netherlands. Not in Danmark. The pin is in the right location.
I drive under it every workday multiple times a day. They’re rebuilding the “Extremely busy highway N302” to eliminate the terrible roundabout causing terrible traffic jams.
But why use this example? Look at the Gouwe aquaduct on 1 of the busiest highways in the Netherlands, with a multitude of traffic passing under the water way compared to the N302.
That's right. That bridge is not in Denmark 🇩🇰 but the Netherlands 🇳🇱
Know the borders, thank you 😁
They are seeing it as one Europe way to soon 😂
what do you expect American!
I did one of these twisty-turny ascents up Italian mountains on my bike when I was young and mighty. It was incredibly difficult going up, and it was incredibly scary going down!
Wow what an adventure 🫨

hats of to the engineers who made these roads indeed very beautiful roads i love mountain views just wonder how 15000 ft above see would look like
16:27 The Veluwemeer Aquaduct was actually constructed in the Netherlands and not in Denmark
That bridge near New Orleans is a nightmare for me. I was traveling on it back in 2015 while it had part of the bridge gone so there was 1 lane traffic. I looked out the bus window and saw a ledge and water for at least a quarter mile.
Lol 😂😂😂! Yes that bridge is scary! I’m from Louisiana. I’ve drove over that bridge a couple of times and still get nervous. I turn off the music, tell everybody to be quiet, and make sure my car is in good shape before I get close to it lol 😂! If you take another route to avoid it your trip is 2hrs longer. I remember as a child we were having car trouble coming from New Orleans going to northeast La and we went another route to avoid that bridge. That was the longest ride of my life! That’s why I said make sure your car is in good shape.
“The Mountain of Death 💀 “ has such a wonderful ring to it……
Despite the many "Veluwemeer is in The Netherlands, not Denmark" There are quite a few of these Aquaducts in The Netherlands. Some Big, some small. Especially the province of Fryslân has A LOT. Also Naviduct Krabbersgat is pretty impressive. With being a canal over the road, with a waterlock build in.
Not just the Netherlands. There are lots of boat bridges along canals in England, France and Germany too. But I guess NL has the most and Veluwemeer is the largest iirc.
i think this is denmark
@@PTMarcoBryant do not think.
@@PTMarcoBryant don't think, google it.

@@PTMarcoBryant I'm Danish, and it's 100% not in Denmark, the name is not Danish either !
The aqueduct above the road that dips beneath the water reminds me of this little tunnel in a tiny, podunk town where you drive underneath the Erie Canal! One of my friends took a photo of it once during winter with lots of precariously-attached icicles hanging from above like stalactites and it was featured in a news article, though I don't recall whether there was an actual news story presented with it or if it involved just one brief article which was later posted/spread on social media.
It's in holland,not in denmark
LOL I grew up in New Orleans and we crossed the Causeway routinely. At one time it was at #1 as the world's longest bridge and we were shocked because it was just something we crossed all the time.
I was a Navy brat and we lived in Gretna for 2 yrs. After the first few times the "new wore off" and it was just part of the trip; but the first time across at 10 years old was pretty scary, not to mention stressful for my Dad listening to all the questions from 3 kids ages 10, 8, and 6 yrs. But I remember the really scary part of the trip to and from Texas... The Lake Charles Bridge (of death lol), that thing scares adults but at 10 years old I remember wanting to find a way around it. I've heard it's falling apart and will be demolished, makes me wonder if what they replace it with will be that steep?
@@wavydave ...What road is the Lake Charles Bridge on?
@@matildabishops9196 I-10 it connects Lake Charles to Westlake over the Calcasieu River, what's crazy is that in a little over a mile it goes up to 135 feet and then back down, I'm not sure about the angle of incline but I'd bet it's around 45° or so. It's a scary sight to a young child, but it was still insanely steep and high to my 22 yr old self when I went across it coming home from Florida after my Navy enlistment was up in 1989. I'll have to think of a reason to travel that way before they tear it down to see what my 54 yr old self thinks of it lol

16:25 - I never knew I was Danish? I was always under the impression I was Dutch and living in the Netherlands. That little map of Europe has a marker pointing to "Denmark" though... Maybe I just need more geography lessons.
17:17 - Yeah, and now suddenly Denmark has moved back to the position where I always thought it was....
you know i thought the same thing i was like the last time i checked the country i live in did not feature a part of main land Europe but again what do i know about politics. At least now it would be easier for me to go to Defcon 1 and Qlimax ;D oh and don't tell Germany part of their limited coastal line ;)

I drive the causeway often. It would definitely be a nightmare to breakdown on. There is no shoulder, you have to pretty much hope you make it to one of the few side pull offs.
17:19 I am liking this one. A multi-use bridge that terminates into a tunnel. Wikipedia states 19,000 road vehicles cross this bridge daily. Then add in the rail traffic and internet traffic :)
that first one reminds me of something i read about in a book: the "seven mile bridge" in the Florida Keys.
the longest of many bridges connecting those islands.
7:35 reminds me of a road that was in a movie: i forget the name, but the movie was "The Living Daylights". the first scene, in Gibraltar.
Finally. The voice who help me got a sleep finally came back. Miss u bro.

I'm very surprised you didn't mention the dragons tail in North Carolina 318 turns in 11 miles its considered the absolute best place to go for sport car and motorcycle enthusiasts
Hey, it’s crowded enough. Will you at least wait, until this removed from My Bucket!
While there, visit the Cherohala, Devil’s Triangle, the Hellbender, the 226, and of course, the Blue Ridge Parkway.
I just posted the exact same thing 😂
What part of North Carolina are these roads
@@jameswallace7351 U.S. 129 North Carolina….
I’ve travelled by motorcycle on the Stelvio pass twice in both directions after seeing it featured on Top Gear, and I can confirm it is THE most satisfying road to ride on, with a wonderful payoff view at the top!!
A lot of bikers, pedal, on that road?
Traffic?
I've been lucky enough to have done the Stelvio Pass with both motorcycle and car, quite a road by both means of transport, while a thrill by bike you are so aware of the dangers but you can get past slow vehicles. With a car, you get more chances to admire the incredible views but can very often get stuck as there are few places to pass slower vehicles.
BE AMAZED will never run out of ideas to upload.

Indeed i thought also Demark?? It's correct the N302 also known as Knardijk. It's indeed really strange when you see a ship right before you before you go downwards under the ship.

I thought I recognized that stretch. I was out there last October staying with some friends in Cleves. I'm surprised those guys didn't get killed by traffic. It's bad enough bikers get killed out on Dead Man's Curve on the east side of River Road.
I’ve driven Passo Stelvio 6 or 7 times. It is indeed spectacular. But actually it is a really easy road to drive. For a challenge drive the nearby and equally awesome (and more desolate) passo Gavia.
I love videos like this!! Or space is or extremely high bridges people have to walk on , these types of videos make my palms sweat!!!
The Astoria bridge in Oregon (US) is 197' tall so it is higher than the Eshima Ohashi bridge at nearly 150'.

This list makes me REALLY wanna take several of these roads for a road trip!
Is it just me that would be terrified to drive on most of these? I have nightmares about being in a car that falls into the water pretty regularly
Same.
The one with tunnels. Love tunnels. Going west to Vancouver, there are two routes to take. Always take the one that goes by Hope. Because it has tunnels. Lots of tunnels. Anyone have any idea of my favourite thing on a road system?? LOL Wonderful work again, Amazed. And a really BIG thanks. xoxoxo
the "veluwemeer aquaduct" isnt in Denmark, its in the Netherlands
As someone form Harderwijk (one of the cities it connects to) I felt personally attacked by this mistake lol
Well The Veluwemeer Aqueduct isn't in Denmark, but otherwise an awesome video, as preuse 😁
Ever since I’ve wanted to go to Osaka Japan about 4 years ago I’ve seen so many cool and nice things with its visuals and it makes me want to go more
Those zigzag roads are the the kind of routes taxi drivers take to make you pay more instead of going in a straight line or a shortcut..
Sad you missed the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel (the one in Virginia, not the Maryland version that has no tunnel!) There's some great history attached to the original bridge & tunnels (they added another bridge in more recent years, that now makes all but the tunnels themselves 4 lanes.) You could say that this is more of a Road-Bridge-Tunnel combo, as well, because it goes over an island, too.
Seriously, check it out. It was a true engineering feat when 1st built!
VA native here. I love that road.
The Maryland one is not the CBBT
That's just the Chesapeake Bay Bridge aka William Preston Lane Jr Mem Bridge.
MD native and it's pretty cool
I was thinking the same thing, but the maryland bridge is noteworthy as well.
I live on Maryland's Eastern Shore and have driven both Bay Bridge and Bay Bridge Tunnel.
That was so insane! I'm still shaking and I wasn't even driving!
I went up the Stelvio Pass and the Passo San Boldo by bike. I'd love to do the others with all those switchbacks too. Although sometimes they're not that pretty when you are actually on them. For instance the 'Lacets de Montvernier' (not featured in this clip) look great from a distance of from a helicopter/drone view, but when I rode them on my bike, I was disappointed because you can't see many of the switchbacks below when you are on them.
And you should add La Corbata on the pass to Sa Calobra on Mallorca, Spain: at the top of the climb, the final switchback bends more than 180 degrees and passes over/under the same road.
I looped this earlier this summer and played it to help sleep. The unbelievable soothing sound of his voice is better than 10 mg Valium q HS prn sleep. I swear!!

I drive it every fall. Best part of the Appalachian trail hands down. The sea of colors or driving in the clouds. Spring is like a giant water color painting.

Good research. That must've taken a long time. I'd like to see a list of just the best driving roads in North America, the only place I'LL ever travel.
I drove on thr Gotthart pass through the Alps. It wasntunnel bridge, tunnel bridge ofer and over again. Very fun!
First time I’d be watching be amazed this early 😅😅🥰 2 hours after posting. Love all the way from Nigeria 🇳🇬
This was pretty cool. There is a road that I have always called rollercoaster road in the southwest corner of Missouri coming out of the Ozark mountains going into Oklahoma. It connects the city of Anderson to Southwest city Missouri. I have scared the britches off several people driving that road especially at dusk. Lol. It's only about 5 miles long but it really is fun. I live in Arizona now but will always remember that road.
Thank you for sharing this video with us my friend...Cheer!! 🥰🥰🥰

We have a road in my hometown of Temple Texas that is so steep, you cant see the bottom from the top. It’s called suicide hill. It’s a rite of passage to all 16 year olds to drive down then up. I even broke my wrist sliding down it on a trash can lid when it iced over in the winter of 1983
We have one like that here in Brownwood called Thrill Hill that really should be renamed like yours. At the bottom, you have 40 maybe 50 feet to stop, or else there's a drainage ditch to clear, and if you make that you'll crash onto the golf course at the country club. It's has happened many times over the years, rollovers, flip-overs, upright, and upside down but I don't recall ever hearing of anyone dying. I think there have even been a few collisions between cars going over the crest fairly fast and crashing into one coming up the hill. But the last I heard the county put a speed bump right before the crest to dissuade trying to catch some air.
There’s a curve to the right at the bottom of our hill but if you don’t make it, there a big house with lots of trees. I’ve seen a few cars up trees lol. They finally put a stop sign at the top and bottom but most people just “ pause”
That sounds fun

I am from Tamilnadu and have driven the awesome Kolli hills road. The Road is well paved asphalt with concrete bolstering on the shoulders... pretty much a hoot for Petrolheads. It's a 2 way lane and hence need to watch out for oncoming traffic especially the big trucks/buses that can occupy nearly the entire road 😁
At 21:15 or so, it is said “one turn every 36 feet” the calculation is for vertical climb. But, still a turn every 400 feet of linear travel is potentially nausea inducing.
The Lake Pontchartrain highway feels like it is never ending, I’ve been on it several times.

Wow thanks for showing all those crazy fantastic roads. Really wild !
Two roads I have been on that are fun as well as crazy. Highway 36 from Redbluff, CA to the coast. Well parts of it anyway because of all the bumps. However, that is nothing compared to the Ditch Grade. 96 turns in 3.5 miles. Add to that, the chances of meeting a log truck coming the other way, and prepare for anything.
That last comment is just too funny! My BF and I just cracked up! What a way to end the video. Balls of Steel!
The best option is to go downhill on the stelvio pass on a skateboard. Want some more adrenaline rush, you do it in sweatpants. 🔥🔥🔥

I used to drive frequently from London to Milan. The tunnels through mountains was the main thrill of this 13hour drive. Folk used to waste time trying to explain cheap air travel to me. They just didn't understand. And this was a trip I always preferred to make alone. In the days before Google maps. Once on a shopping trip London/Calais (with Gf) a friend (French) called me and I thought; let's go meet him. We drove forever until it got dark and we came across this overwhelming sight; le Mon st Michel. (Spelling?) We stayed there the night. Turns out friend lives in Brittany. Epic road trip.
I was a Navy brat and we lived in Gretna for 2 yrs. which is a suburb across the Mississippi River from New Orleans. We had family in Texas and made the trip many times and I well remember the Lake Ponchartrain Causeway. After the first couple times the "new wore off" and it was just part of the trip; but the first time across at 10 years old was pretty scary, not to mention stressful for my Dad listening to all the questions from 3 kids ages 10, 8, and 6 yrs. But I remember the really scary part of the trip to and from Texas... The Lake Charles Bridge (of death lol), that thing scares adults but at 10 years old I remember wanting to find a way around it because that thing looks like it goes almost straight up. I've heard it's falling apart and will be demolished, makes me wonder if what they replace it with will be that steep?

Can I just say. Your videos have the best edits I've ever seen
I thought I was the only one who noticed it

Am i the only one that gets sleepy when i watch be amazed video?
I discovered the road to the Stelvio pass on the TOP GEAR England show and I went there in a GT mustang , it was a great experience that will remain in my memory until the end .
I felt like somebody's talking to me in drunken voice. 🤣🤣🤣
All of those roads look great to drive on.
Amazing and breathtaking ..I enjoyed the tour..
Those roller coaster roads make me carsick every time. Dillon Road, running down the backside of Indio and Palm Desert, CA, to I-10 is a notorious example. I was SO, so sick on that road and *I* was the one driving. LOL May I never have to drive that one again. 😀
The old Lake Ponchartrain Bridge used to be really fun. It's one of the few places in the US where you can see traces of the curvature of the Earth, too, as you watch the telephone poles disappear below the horizon before and behind you. What made it fun though were the expansion joints back in the day. You hit those babies at the right rate of speed and you got a perfect metronome for that activity most of us love to do. LOL Even if you weren't in the backseat for that, it was still a fun ride. I grew up nearby and have ridden and driven that bridge many times. And yes, before they built the second bridge, it was a nightmare to break down on. There's nowhere to go.
Los Caracoles reminds me a little of the Burr Trail Rd, in Capitol Reef NP here in the US but on a much much larger scale. Burr Trail is a real fun trip going uphill. I imagine it's the white-knuckled ride going down, though. Steep, unpaved, one-lane...I much preferred driving going uphill on that one. Did it in a stock Suburban last year.
Wow! That 1st one was SO COOL!
What about the “Tail of the Dragon” 318 curves in 11mi?
I've made that Hwy 80 run several times.
I wished you would have showed the Tail of the Dragon, Hwy 129, in Deal's Gap, North Carolina. 318 curves in 11 miles.
I love his voice it’s just so soothing I could just take a nap if he told me a nighttime story
Well, I take Crni Kal in Slovenia at least 5 times a mounth, but from drivers point of wiew there is nothing special. All you see is the wind protecting wall on the bridge.
Thanks for mentioning the metric as well. 👍
I wanna drive on ALL of them!
I've driven on the Tail of the Dragon in Tennessee and North Carolina. 318 curves in 11 miles, it's fun even at 20 mph!
Yall ought to check some of the highways in Arkansas like hwy 36, 110, 16, 127 that all cut through the ozark mountain range. And 16 is part of the trail of tears.

Stelvio Pass is not only 48 turns up, but also 34 turns down. Also there is the Splügen Pass in the Alps, which has 52 turns up and 23 turns down. I drove that one by car some years ago - breathtaking ... and stay concentrated!
I LOVE highway driving!! Oh, yeah! I-40 in St. Louis used to be awesome. There were 3 humps near Lindbergh and when there wasn't much traffic, I used to FLY over those humps. Then they "fixed" it. DAMN THEM
