The first time I met Mark was outside House of Blues in LA, 2007 I think. I had asked him for a photo while waiting for my ride and he stayed and talked with me until my friend got there, even though the "party" was several feet away. The rest of the band have been equally as kind, makes me respect them that much more!
I simply don't have enough adequate words to express just how fucking much I love this band. Just so many layers to their music...so deliciously complex, and so brutal at times; and yet, melodic, and wondrously delicate - in juxtaposition to the contrasting musical heaviness. Their music basically pushes all of my primordial musical buttons. And of course Simones' not hard on the eyes... her physical beauty is equally matched by the beauty of her wondrous voice. Was so ecstatic to see them live for the first time this past Feb. 2nd here in Atlanta, Ga. Epica has been this 52 year old lifelong metalheads' favorite band for the last ten years. Can't fucking wait to hear this CD in it's entirety...and then see them live again here in December. Twice in one calendar year !!!!

I truly love about Epica the fact that they always bring a different style in every single album. So far my favorite one has been Requiem for the Indifferent, maybe this one will be even better.

Listened to it non-stop for months and I still listen to it because of the overall awesomeness of the whole thing... I really can't wait for The Holographic Principle. It sounds just perfect by the little tidbits we could hear here and there. And also, this documentary once again shows why Epica is my favourite band. All of the members are talented, all of them work hard and bring something to the music creatively and all of them are down to earth, genuine people. I always get a good vibe from all of them, and the art they're creating with the music and the lyrics and the arrangements is pure gold. Great job guys!

Recently I was thinking about it while I was listening to the "After Forever" After forever album. I think that he real made a great job as a band member and with the whole orchestra! He has evolved a lot since then and now I like every record he participates in. Revamp albums were awesome, more the second one than the first one. A war of our own from Stream of PAssion was very good and these album from Epica are the best of their entire career, I think. Joost is the best
Sounds pretty awesome. I think I heard a bit of groove in there kind of reminiscent of MaYaN's "Devil in Disguise." Groove metal mixed with Epica would be quite exciting.

sounds like a structure metal band , I mean this is other high-level of symphonic metal , I am very grateful for the evolution of this, what is very important it is to have a real orchestra, you have hight level metal structures then use the best of the best, and the fucking concept of universe and the holographic principle is very interesting, I mean intelligent metal
