SiP Duo consists of Jacob Nance and Natalia Warthen.
From the Program Notes:
"What can we do when everything is so aggressive? The news we listen to, the music we play, the way we treat our fellow human beings. Why is everything so aggressive? How can we initiate change? We can reflect virtues of peace and serenity through our gentle nature. We can aim to enrich the lives of others through gentle constructions of our own. Whatever we do, we must do it gently.
This tone poem is written as gift for Natalia Warthen, through which her friendship, musicianship, and kindness inspires me to move gently through my days. Hope you like it, friend."
