  • Although I could technically keep my 1998 Homelite Ranger handheld blower working for ever, I decided this was the year I'd finally upgrade to a backpack unit.
    I've had nothing but luck with Husqvarna products, so I pickup up this consumer grade unit at the local big box store. It's working great, and has a lot more power when compared to the older unit.
    I can also say that 6 hours with this unit is way easier on the back and shoulders than the older hand "Wand" style of blower.
    In a few years, I'll make a follow up video to let you know if I still like it, or if issues have come up.

    My brother just recently got one identical to that , leaves are still falling in Cary , he loves it. Better protect those ears while you can , the hissing and ringing that you will experience later is annoying. Huh ? and What ? Becomes the start of the conversation. Trust me , I know

    Hey that's identical to mine, all of my gas powered tools are Husqvarna, including one dirt bike.
    Great introduction on the blower, thanks for sharing!.🇺🇸✌️

    Have the 560bts for my property. It's a beast, a bit heavy but runs like a champ and demolishes leaves in the fall. Love husqvarna products for their simplicity. No weird features..

    I have the older very similar model 145BT. The only issue is that over time, operating the primer bulb can pull the gas return line out of the black fitting at the top of the tank. If you don't notice it you end up with gas on the back of your sweatshirt.

    Finnish people are very concious at removing ALL leaves from their grassed areas, piling them up to be removed.
    They live without fences, so everybody does this neighbourly thing to prevent 'burn', when the snow can lay for 6 months .

    CFM recommendation. I have a half-acre yard. TONS OF PINE TREE(Norway spruce) a a few maple trees. I currently have a corded Toro which I think is 350 cfm and barely Moves Squat well maybe so so ) I’m looking to upgrade but not break the bank( I want under $400, but I’ll Go up Some of for the right one. Looking gas . I need powerful enough to blow entire yard wet leaves, pine needles and my BIGGEST CONCERN is powerful enough for Norway spruce pine cones. They are quite heavy pine cone.. what cfm minimum do you recommend. I saw one that was 765cfm for $349. I like the price but…is that enough. I want job to be easy. I saw another 890cfm, but it’s $479

    • @FarpointFarms
      @FarpointFarms  Před rokem

      THE CFM can be tricky- there is no exact way of where each company measures where the air comes from- Some measure from the unit and some will measure from the nozzle. If you are concerned about using it when wet- go with the highest that you can afford. I hope that helps.

      @FarpointFarms  Před 2 lety

      I am sure that some air will leak out just in the nature of it. I can't say that mine has it or not as I never really paid that close attention to it.

      Airflow in the pipe is rated at 452. They say 765 is in the housing, but not sure what that means exactly. I’ve got both a Stihl BG86 and BR800, this definitely looks closer to the BG86 in terms of performance. With that said, price is closer to the BG86 as well.
