By that token of broad and wild assumption, every single teenager that ever was, was in the wrong body.... Who _isn't_ uncomfortable?.. There must 10 people per generation who don't spend most of their time feeling and being awkward in their own skin and wondering if they missed a memo.
@@lewis7515 that's probably true, I wouldn't know cause I'm trans and I know from my own experience that being trans feels like being in the wrong body. I don't know what cis teenagers feel, but from what I heard it's mostly being uncomfortable with your body which is different from being in the wrong body.
@@marsyoutube The fact remains: practically no teenager is at peace in their own skin - and you can't say whether the inner discomfort felt on one declared basis, actually feels any materially different than the inner discomfort someone else feels on a different declared basis. You're not in any position to say with certainty, "it is different" - you don't speak for them: how could you possibly know?.. Where that leaves us is that it's really not possible to say that a teenager is specifically signalling their gender-anxiety, based only on their obvious personal discomfort. In the circumstances, it's ridiculous.
@@lewis7515 Cis woman here, I struggled deeply with insecurity about my body as a teen, I had extremely low self esteem when it came to physical appearance. I felt uncomfortable with my physical body. I NEVER once felt like I would be better off as a different gender. I never felt like how trans folks describe their experience with being literally trapped in the wrong body. I always felt like my body was MY body, I just wasn’t comfortable with how it looked. Cis and trans teens experience entirely different situations, even cis teens who have issues with their body/appearance.

I've seen quite a few transition videos by now and almost always I feel like trans people's "before" version somehow always looks a little "odd", like there's something quite not right but you can't put your finger on it and then you see how they are after transition and boom, you can see just from a picture that this what they were meant to be all along
@Rino Di because that's dueto extrrnal factors outside of transitioning. 80% is also rather inflated.... Suicide risk in those who transition actually goes down 60-80%
@Rino Di the statistics you saw were that 80% have considered suicide, and 42% have attempted. This is among transgender youths who have either not begun or are in the early stages of transition. There are studies that show that suicide rates drastically decrease after gender affirming care is provided to transgender individuals, whether that be hrt or top/bottom surgery. Gender affirming care is actually something that majorly helps transgender people to get over their gender dysphoria. Suicidal thoughts and actions stem from the stigma of being trans, not from being trans. Research has shown that there is a 60% decrease in moderate and severe depression in trans individuals who recieve gender affirming care. Additionally, there is a 73% decrease in suicidality in transgender youth who receive gender affirming care such as hormone replacement therapy. The high suicidality rate of transgender people isn't because of the transition, it's a multitude of other things, Including fear of retaliation, low employment rates for transgender individuals, barriers to appropriate healthcare, and transphobia (which I might add is not the fear of transgender people, but is instead a prejudice or disdain for them which is an extremely common thing in the united states). Transgender Individuals who have been the victims of harassment or discriminatory behavior have been seen to have a 30% increase in self injury behavior. The suicidality problem isn't a problem with them being trans, its a problem of them feeling like they're not going to be able to live happily the way they want to, be that because of regional laws, transphobic family or friends, being discriminated against, or even in some cases beaten and murdered, like is the case with the 50 transgender people who were killed as victims of hate crimes last year and the 20+ trans people who have been murdered this year.
@Rino Di Also, regarding what you said about "mutilating organs that control hormones," that actually isn't an issue at all, bottom surgery does remove the testicles for transgender females, which does drastically decrease the bodies production of testosterone, however, this doesnt really matter as all trans individuals who undergo bottom surgery are required to undergo at least one year of hormone replacement therapy before the surgery can take place, meaning that a trans male would have to be on testosterone for at least one year, and a trans female would have to be on estrogen (and also progesterone if they so choose as well) for at least one year. So after the bottom surgery, there really is not any noticeable change within hormones, as long as one sex hormone, be it estrogen/progesterone or testosterone over powers another, there should be no drastic changes in hormones after bottom surgery. Also, not every trans individual has access to bottom surgery, and many who do, choose not to get it. There are actually vastly more individuals who don't get the surgery as opposed to those who do. About only 7-13% of transgender females end up getting bottom surgery, so they are actually a very small minority in the grand scheme of things. Most transgender individuals only go as far as to begin hormone replacement therapy, which is seen to actually drastically reduce suicide rates among transgender individuals.

The old pics seem uncomfortable, it's so clear that you were in the wrong body
I mean he's still in the same body, just expressing himself differently and gender validated by good health care.
Cis and trans teens experience entirely different situations, even cis teens who have issues with their body/appearance.
so often when i see other trans people's before & afters i get this wave of "oh there he is!", the level of comfort really makes all the difference. feeling that kind of pride even for people i don't know personally brings me a really particular kind of joy

Cis Hetero man here. Glad you found yourself. Looking good dude!
I've seen quite a few transition videos by now and almost always I feel like trans people's "before" version somehow always looks a little "odd", like there's something quite not right but you can't put your finger on it and then you see how they are after transition and boom, you can see just from a picture that this what they were meant to be all along
Mostly, there's a subtle discomfort in them, even when they seem happy, that goes away after transition.
@Rino Di because that's dueto extrrnal factors outside of transitioning. 80% is also rather inflated.... Suicide risk in those who transition actually goes down 60-80%
@Rino Di 80% is just not accurate at all
@Rino Di the statistics you saw were that 80% have considered suicide, and 42% have attempted.

Not true. And I believe all people should be respected, and be able to live as they want.
@@reasonrestored9116 uh...did you read the entire comment?? 😶
@@reasonrestored9116 and I believe that people respectfully can disagree and will always see a man born a man is a man and the same with the opposite sex
all you 9 year olds in the comments calling him a “she” as if you would be able to tell he was originally a woman when out in public lmfao
Is it just me, or did Jamie always kind of look like a guy to begin with? Maybe it's because I just can't see him any other way.
It's only you
I thought that too
i have this impression with every trans person!!
it's amazing what surgery and a life of drugs can do isn't it and here they are grooming the next generation.
Yo I thought that too
Beard suits you so well. Gives you this comfortable vibe doubled with the warm gaze.
Yes! I think Jamie has such wonderful eyes!
Got this in my recs, didn't even see who it was posted by, so it was quite the plot twist by the end! Inspiring transformation.
Same
I hope you don't mind me saying that you are absolutely gorgeous, either way, and as long as you're happy and feel like this is the right thing for you, and that now you are how you feel you should have been all along? Absolutely fantastic!! You are so good at doing you, boo!! Keep it up ❤
Oh, and by the way, David Bowie is my all-time favorite performer!!! ❤
I feel like in those pictures you can tell. There is just, the eyes....you look like your real self now
Is it just me or did Jamie never even look feminine, like even in a dress he just looks like a guy in a dress
Can someone pls explain to me how I’m supposed to cope with life as a 13 year old with gender dysphoria with a transphobic mother-
Just try to keep your head up. Talk to people like you and connect with others (:
I made this secret email so I could have this account and I follow a bunch of surportive and lovely people like Jamie and ot
Trust that this is temporary. You'll be able to leave home in a few years. I know that feels like forever away but it's not. You'll get there.
Sorry you had to go through that
@Phyl Newbold tyyy have a wonderful day/night! :D
This is honestly so inspiring. As a young transmasc myself, this is exactly how I want to feel when I get older. Happy in my body.
Jamie's community is so sweet and supportive of one another, I love it. For all of you working towards your transition, I wish you the best of luck! For all of you who can't transition yet, I hope there comes a day where you get to live as your true self, make sure to be kind to your body even if it isn't your ideal one yet. And to all of you who never want to medically transition, you all are so valid no matter what anyone says. I support each and every one of you, and no matter how you'd like to present your gender, I hope you're able to reach that eventually, and if you already have reached it, I'm so proud of you for all you may have gone through to get to this point.
Testosterone is fucking magical
It makes you bald
@@Anika9691 It really doesn't, that only happens if you have those genetics in your family
@@Anika9691 and??? You’re saying Harry hill isn’t a king???
Until it kills you. There are serious health risks so it better be worth those risks
Blood clots high blood pressure cardiac issues yeah I want some of that
It’s wonderful that you are happy in your skin. You look so happy. I have not met many trans people in my life (that I am aware of anyway). So through content creators like yourself, I get to enjoy learning new things as well as getting access to the thoughts and opinions of trans folk. Thank you!
My boyfriends HRT starts in a few months!
I'm so happy that we made it happen
good for him :D
Amazing!
As a trans man myself, I am so proud of you. You came out, and always were, a handsome man. Since I'm 13 I have a hard time at school since people always say I'm still a girl and it's honestly upsetting.
I think your a nice man ;) don't let them get you down
You're gonna make it lil bro! It gets better, I promise. I transitioned when I was around 23 (so it's never too late)
Words are just words. Don't let them get you down. Sounds complicated, but it's really not. Once you know who you are, and you're happy within yourself, let those words fly by.
Whatever you identify as, you are. I don’t see anything wrong with being who you are
@@biothehaz4rd so if people identify as trans species is that ok
God I wish I could at least afford to start transitioning, one day tho just gotta wait. I moved out 2 weeks ago from my lgbt-phobic and toxic parents, barely got money for food but its better now and gonna be even better when I'll stabilize myself financially
Best of luck to you!!!
That sounds incredibly hard
Man support no matter what. respect to the parents
Good luck to you friend! Got kicked out by my Mom a year ago and it's still a struggle. We will make it through someday. Just gotta stay strong.
Please look for support groups in your area!
You look so much happier in the photos where you're presenting male, I'm so glad you're able to live like that all the time now
Crazy how some souls are born with the wrong body
If only souls could trade bodies if they wanted to, so many people would be so much happier.
You are a beautiful human being .
Yes he is
Indeed ❤❤
So is your father in bed♥️/j
she is offense to God
@@nunya8701 Atheist here, but I have to ask: What happened to "Love thy neighbor"? What did they ever do to you to warrant your rejection?
(And who are you to decide what your god approves of?)
I can’t imagine how it must feel to be born a gender that doesn’t match your mind and soul. It’s incredible to see this transition. You look great.
@@loveandpeace_totheworld uhh...
Imagine having gender dysphoria 🤡
@@felixt808 Seriously. How do you know that you’re more fitted to be a women when you’ve never been one.
Good for you! Here's to hoping more people getting to live their best lives in the coming years.
He looks so awkward pre-transition
Y’all please, don’t hit newest first, there r so many negative comments
Sorry you shouldn't have said that cause now I'm gonna do it 😂👩🏾🎤
"female" jamie is kinda cursed not gonna lie
She is still a female
God this comment section is filled with people too scared to realize that this is an amazing *Man*

@@liamevans9479pretty sure that's a man
Nah bro was supposed to be a guy in the first place he didn’t look right when he was a woman
You were a pretty girl, but did not seem comfortable in your skin. Now as a handsome young man, you radiate being confident and content. Good for you!
