本曲歌詞選自《詩篇》第九十六篇。全曲明快、富有能量，以歡快的歌聲展現頌讚上主的欣喜之情。前奏鋼琴以快速節奏展現樂曲的生命力，合唱部分則運用弱起拍和切分音增加節奏感及歌詞的韻律感。次段交錯的拍號，呈現多樣的節奏變化。接著由男低音開啟新段落，各聲部依序進入，拉丁文和英文歌詞交錯於四聲部。曲末主題再現，並以高音作出戲劇性結尾，將能量推至高峰。
