Hi mate, great video, exactly how I do mine which is a 2004 glx 1kz-te with 231,000 km. Mine doesn't have a rear fuel filter. My injectors, glow plugs, exhaust, coolant hoses, water pump even head light globes are all original. Timing belt done at 150, 000 km as per schedule. Only changed original fan belts x 3 two years ago at 200,000km. Still going strong. Done all my services since new, run out of room in service book !

@@adjrasta9365 I changed the front & rear diffs at 200,000 kms & the oil was as golden in colour as the new oil going in. After 230,000 kms, finally changed auto oil & filter contrary to what Toyota say. Oil was 15 years old & a lot cleaner than I thought. As of today, car is having it's 16th birthday. Still running original a/c gas, still cold, original water pump, exhaust, shocks, head light globes, discs, although have been machined. Just checked my oil pick up, first time ever, clean as a whistle, unlike some photos I have seen on this site. Good luck with yours.

Thanks mate, you have reassured my confidence on these original built tough 1ktze. I just done the timing belt and tensioners myself didnt do.the water & if yours is still on original, i hope mine goes as far as yours. I hve replaced headlight globe & parker globes but havent needed to machine discs yet, still on original brakes front n back probably because its a manual. I get whay your saying about running out of room in the service manual. My other car is european and comes with no service manual, its all electronic & suppose to be entered by dealer but rarely is...worst part about the car, paying for servicing so to maintain warranty but not really confident in that they actual do whay they charge for

Your video is spot on when it comes to servicing one of these Prados...i hve seen many flashy american videos with the FJ Cruisers same as prado that over complicate even the simply service intervals

Hi this video is an awesome tutorial.
@39:04 there is a basin where there is some oil captured and I've noticed after a drive there is a small amount of new oil that has dripped out.
Is it normal to have a little bit of oil leak out form the filter after driving?
Or alternatively is there something that might be leaking above the filter dipping into the basin.
Curious to know how you'd find out where the oil could be coming from.
