"We can lift ourselves, and others as well, when we refuse to remain in the realm of negative thought and cultivate within our hearts an attitude of gratitude." (President Thomas S. Monson)
"If ingratitude be numbered among the serious sins, then gratitude takes its place among the noblest virtues." (President Thomas S. Monson. "An Attitude of Gratitude")
Ten lepers were healed. One leper returned to offer his gratitude to the Lord. Only one leper received the greater treasure of knowledge that Jesus had to offer. “Thy faith hath made thee whole.” Nine missed a gratitude opportunity. Thank you, President Thomas S. Monson.
Notice the words of Jesus to this man: “Your faith has made you well.” By His comment, it’s possible the leper was not yet healed the first time otherwise Jesus would not be repeating these words. Perhaps this is why the other nine never returned to thank Him as they were not yet healed and had no faith but the man, even though he was not healed, by faith, returned to thank the Savior. God calls those things that be not as though they were.
I thank God for everything I have, everything I go through.
