- Udaipur is known as the City of the Lakes, and it's beautiful. The palaces are Rajasthan Royalty at its finest. We were lucky enough to be in Udaipur during Deepavali or Diwali. It was such a special experience to see how the Indian people celebrate Diwali. They decorate the house with Indian ethnic decorations and lamps (Diya) and fairy lights, have beautiful dry powder patterns outside their doors, insane fireworks, eat lots of sweets, exchange gifts. They also wear new clothes, so Graeme and I tried dressing up in traditional Indian clothing and tried to drape a saree for the first time. Graeme wanted to channel his inner Maharajah and wanted to wear a traditional Rajputi safa. Watch us get dressed and celebrate Diwali, festival of lights, in one of the most beautiful cities in India, Udaipur.

Hello, we were so blessed to be here at the time of Diwali and it won't be something we forget. Not sure how we did with the Saree and Safa but we like to try new things. Happy belated Diwali to all those who celebrate this beautiful festival.

Okay, as an Indian I take huge offence when ignorant people call desi clothes "Costumes" It's a costume on white people because they make indian culture look ridiculous. Indian clothes are not a costume. a costume is what you find a in a damn party store. CULTURE is not a someone else's costume to prance around and dress up like it's a halloween costume. this is just beyond ignorant. indian clothes never look good on white people lol period. white people ensalved indian people 200 years and took almost everything and hated our people and everything about it and then now still brown people praise them like they are royalty. it's so gross.

I don't know if u are still in India ..But let me tell u one thing..If u have missed the northeast part of India ,U have missed half of India ..If u are still here in India ,travel to the northeastern states of -Assam,meghalaya,manipur,nagaland,arunachal pradesh,sikkim,mizoram and tripura..It's not about big hotels here ,but the nature is itself a grand hotel ..The freshness here wll strike ur heart !!

That's how we indians are.. we don't want to break our guest's heart 😂😂😂😂 being a rajasthani, I would say that you brutally killed that well starched turban cloth. But it's ok, you and Theodora tried their best... It is nearly impossible to tie this rajasthani safa with perfection without training and experience... I myself make mistakes even after knowing how to do it... Sometimes the triangle doesn't come at tr corner, sometimes the tail fall short... 😁😁
