In the next years the government invests ~80 million into the bocas region just for infrastructure. Roads, pavements, pipes, water (yes there are/were times you rely on a truck bringing water). The road from bocas town to Boca del Drago (north west) is heavily under construction, also the road on the eastern coastline which by now turns into a gravel road will be built circling to whole eastern island ending in Boca del Drago.
I hope this will not attract too many investors building huge hotels destroying the vibe.

Great info thanks for that. I loved my time there! Its a gem regardless if it has construction and bad infrastructure. Maybe easier to live there long term when the projects are all finished i would assume
