A lot of people died and it isn’t because they didn’t pray. Would God not have been wonderful if you died? I don’t understand why some people believe god answered their prayers but not for others. This family used prayer to make it through any outcome and they did.

@@Sue-hippielove who made God a “he”. It was doctor, a group of scientists, and access to modern healthcare that killed your cancer. Without it you’d be dead. Can you give some credit to the people who spent their entire lives in school to cure your cancer?
The Republican Christians who disrespected Dr Fauci were disgusting and despicable. If it weren’t for the infectious disease doctors who spent their whole life’s studying, we would not have safe drinking water, antibiotics, vaccines, medical care, and safe food handling etc. we’d be dying in plagues and epidemics. Those who refused the vax were so self righteous and arrogant when the only reason they could do that is because the rest of us submitted to a solution.
The God thing is personal and those preaching that “He” cured
their cancer give no credit to science and the dedicated hardworking people who work for years and years to learn & serve you.

I was born with hydrocephalus and luckily it drained over time. I’m 56 years old and have all my faculties. I’m a mother of two and have three grandchildren. Worked my whole life and have had meningioma tumor that occurring at the scull base within my spinal fluid. No clue if it was linked. Had tumor removed by craniotomy at 42 years old. With some deficits I live today and love as much life as I’m given. She is such a blessing❤ she will amaze you. Bless your adorable family 🙏

I’m a retired nurse. I did home care for babies like this and ones on ventilators at home. I totally understand how you feel. They just looked at her and wrote her off. I had one little patient with trisomy 18. The parents were told they could take her home to die if that’s what they wanted. They added, you really don’t need to feed or do any other care, she will only last for a day or two at most. That little girl last I took care of her was 3yrs old and doing pretty good. The mother of course did not listen to the doctors and fed her baby. They also left the state within a couple of weeks to be closer to a decent children’s hospital, Riley in Indianapolis.
Then I had a baby boy with HPE. Boys usually don’t make it to birth and if they do they usually only last for a day or two. When we brought this baby home, it had every ostomy there is, a trach, NG-tube then G-tube, colostomy, super pubic opening….. he had diabetes insipidus for sodium instead of Mellitus with glucose.
But this child lived for 5yrs. The mother started HOPE for children with HPE.
It has always amazed and angered me at just how cold some doctors can be. I do not understand how they didn’t see any issues during an ultrasound. Ultrasounds have become the norm with every pregnancy now. They should have seen the enlarged head at the usual 7month ultrasound. Plus they should have been able to see the baby’s brain too. I learned early on that if a doctor puts a time limit on a persons life, find another doctor. Every once in a while you will find a doctor/surgeon that doesn’t think they are God. A rare find, but they do exist.

If a loving god exists why would he be so cruel as to wait to answer prayers instead of preventing the problem in the first place? Put everyone through such torture, misery and heartache? Back when I still believed we prayed so hard for our son... and it did nothing, as for most of the pain and suffering in the world. People give praise to god when they perceive something positive, but ignore the negligence that allowed it to happen in the first place? If my earthly father acted like that I would have disowned him. It's all just random chance... we created god in our image to help make sense of the chaos and give us some sense of comfort, control and hope. It didn't help one iota in the end.

    • @rezotydnic
      @rezotydnic Před rokem +2

@@CharGC123 I'm sorry for the loss of your son.
People often blame God and question why? How could he?
While God is our heavenly father who sent his son Jesus to die on the cross to save us from our sins so that we may have eternal life, he also gave mankind free will.
God does answer prayers but the answer may not be what we were praying for.
Everything going on in this world is because of mankind. Mankind's hate. Greed. Desires that are evil. And Satan reigns in them.
It is easy to blame God, who is all powerful. Why? How could you? Etc. But God is returning one day. Sooner than we think. We need to be ready if we want to spend eternity in Heaven.
Believe it? Isn't it better to believe in something that's full of hope, security, etc, than believing in nothing?
I say I have nothing in life to loose by believing in God and accepting Jesus as personal Lord and Savior. I loose nothing if at the end of my life I were to find out He doesn't exist. But if I don't believe, and at the end of my life I learn He does exists, I loose everything.
You have to believe in something or you will fall for anything.

What do you mean, you’re not sure how you feel? You can’t possibly think any way except that to recognize that the doc(s) at John’s Hopkins did not give her optimal care. They didn’t get on the phone, to see what studies were underway that she could benefit from, and as another person here wrote, they just wrote her off. We’ve got two doctors and a nurse practitioner in our family but too many times I’ve seen situations where doctors just phone it in. The patient finds themselves having to push for new treatments as they deal with chronic cases with few or no treatments, or they to remind their doctor why the doc’s proposed treatment won’t work for them, based on prior experience. I don’t know how we got to this place but I find it unacceptable.

I’m in Australia. My son had prenatal hydrocephalus, I was given the worst case scenario as well. An Absolutely devastating diagnosis. You couldn’t see his brain on the sonogram, his skull was full of Cerebral Spinal Fluid. He had his first shunt inserted at 7 days. His head was HUGE, he had sunset eyes just like your little girl. He is now 29, he was sick for quite a few years but he made it. He has Cervical Spina Bifida (he’s in a wheelchair) Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy, Hydrocephalus and is globally delayed but he is amazing! You can have a normal conversation with him, he has a job, friends and is living life! I’m so sorry they left your little girl without a shunt for so long. Her headaches must have been horrific!

Being a resident of Memphis it's truly amazing how much the local ppl do to help St Jude! We did a motorcycle ride to raise funds for St Jude and Ronald McDonald House! We started at a location and ended at the Ronald McDonald house where we were brought in with a police escort and the children/families were all outside as we pulled in. Once everyone was there and off their bikes we were able to be scanned over by a nurse and temperatures taken we were able to go in to play with the children and just hang out spending time with them! The experience was amazing and just heartbreaking all at the same time especially being a genetic colon cancer patient! The little time we spent with them with all focus on them, it was a time frame for them to focus less on being sick and more focus on being a innocent child! Some were even allowed to come out and sit on our bikes! I've never seen so many grown men bawling their eyes out! I definitely recommend participating in it if you are a "biker" and close to the area!

@@luvlost03n the kindest meaning manner, please understand that is 100% backwards. God did NOT create disease , mankind , more correctly evil mankind did. In the last 2 years that should be so evident to all of us. I’m speaking from my faith but also as a Grandmother of a grandson diagnosed at 13 months with Type1 diabetes, to overcome that to be slammed with brain cancer at 4. He is a five year survivor and praise be to God. I have watched my son & dil go through too hell & back and grieved for my grandson while he was living as well… horrific & traumatic but…Trust me it has challenged my faith, wavered & weakened me, but never ever will Satan win . That’s satans goal.. he doesn’t get to take my faith too…NEVER!

In the beginning, when her prognosis looked pretty grim, & the doctors said nothing could really be done & sent her home with hospice; I'm wondering why they didn't at least put in a shunt or try some way to help relieve the pressure in her head. Even if they didn't think it would prolong her life or change her prognosis, that pressure in her head had to be excruciating & it seems like any kind of reduction of the fluid to let some steam out of the pot would help her at least a little bit with the discomfort.
