You touch on a lot of great stuff and the biggest take away for folks looking at these is that certain blinds have a purpose. I am now in the process of purchasing the goosebuster LP 2.0 myself, I and the GB LP 2.0 only because its super easy to pack in for a longer walk and gets me in to some colder temps. I have the DB kickback with their corn pattern like you and I love that but when it gets cold i dont want to have to layer like crazy since i will be way more exposed. I really like that tanglefree blind and it has features of both blinds minus the weight and it not having backpack straps. I will not buy a blind i can not put on my back. Another reason i like that goosebuster is that it folds really small so when i have to pull a sled with two bags of DB silos my current blind gets in the way since its more of a turtle shell not a true back pack. Again every blind has a purpose it seems like. Sure if i was able to drive in to every field i hunt i would get a bigger super comfy blind but I don't have that luxury for every field!
Get that Goosebusters XL blind if you're a bigger taller guy. My big guy friends do not fit well in the smaller version in this video.
@@ericweber7707 im average at 5'10 and 165 so any of these all fit me. The goosebuster looks awesome for light weight and longer walks. I have a FA knockout that i love for when i can drive out in to a field and i have a snow cover. That FA is the easiest blind to setup on the planet with no pins and overall lightweight!
@@zimmermanseth The Goosebuter is definitely awesome for long walks I can confirm that as I have walked a mile + several times. Gear gets heavy on those walks. Pins suck! I will never buy a layout blind with pins. Thanks for the awesome feedback/advice for the youtube viewers!
I have two questions about the rig em right⊠did you come up with a way to use backpack straps? Second⊠would one or two dozen dove Bomb crane socks be able to be stashed inside so they could be carried inside the layout blind. I have to walk close to a mile from the parking spot to the hunting spot so mobility is an issue.
I have divebomb crane silhouette decoys, Iâve never seen the crane socks in person. You would have to give the dimensions. How tall/length are the socks? How big of a pile do they make when you place the crane socks all together? I would worry about the plastic stakes on the crane socks snapping and breaking if you roll them up/smash them in a layout blind. You could use ratchet straps for back pack straps on the layout blind?đ€ there are some built in clasp straps for folding the layout blind. I will have to mess with those straps and see if those placed/positioned correctly can work as back pack straps.
Question Eric. What is the width of the divebomb chair. I am curious... do you think it would fit inside the the Rogers blind? this would make it a lot more comfortable. I have the FA X-landr and my back kills me after a day hunt and it is almost the same as the rogers blind. Thanks!
I donât think it would fit in the Rogers blind. I would think you could cut a foam mattress or find a size for camping that could fit in the Rogers. I think that could help your back pain. www.homedepot.com/pep/Tri-Fold-Single-Firm-Foam-4-in-Folding-Mattress-MIL-HK612-4-25-MC/322740021
Is that Rig em Right blanket available separately as just a blanket or bag, or is it sold with the layout blind as a set only. LIke the idea of the waterproofing on that in case it starts raining or snowing
They sell the green and white blanket cover separate. The brown cover comes with the purchase of the blind.
@@ericweber7707 ok thanks. Where I hunt in west texas, we are covered up in sand burs. That dive bomb blanket would have every sandbur attached from a 100 sq foot area...LOL. I was hoping to just pick up the tan Rig em Right blanket portion and use it by itself. If I went with the rig em right blind kit and pull out the frame....can the whole blind be put/stuffed into a backpack and carried that way? I use a frame style pack for western hunting, and wondering if I could pack and carry it in there. The frame pack might also provide the support to keep me in the seated/laid back position. Appreciate the assistance.
@@rbljackson yes I think you could roll up the rigem right blind and cinch/fasten the blind down. I can roll mine up and send you pictures if you give me your contact info.
How do you like the actual chair on the divebomb
I was worried about the chair wanting to tilt back and lifting your ass off the matt...
I like it, itâs comfortable.
