    Simple and nice explanation. The most beautiful part was the fact that the training of a child should begin in the womb. I learnt how the physiology of a growing child is affected with stress. And yes the environment does matter in well being. The inner environment being the most important. The ashrams of Heartfulness and other spiritual organisations is where the youth should be heading to. And yes, they should involve in sports, nature trekking, arts and vocational training. Movies and malls do not have anything that the youth can learn from. They should use their energy which is but divine energy into solving the issues of the society. They all have the potential of being super heroes - each one of them. But yes, many of them are eating non vegetarian food, smoking, having drugs and dating as if it is a pass time. Well they should realize that there is a genius hidden in them if only they want to see it. They should understand that each one of them is capable of solving the issues of the society. If only they at least start with the idea that they should be known as a super man or a super woman and not just continue to be a coolly dressed and 'attractive' person, then things will change. In short, our youth should take up responsibility of the society and they should do things that move their hearts. Yes, you are right, everything should be done heartfully. If lack of trees in our cities is the concern of some student, if the student is moved by the fact and wants to take up the responsibility of planting trees, then he or she even study things that will empower them to change the situation practically and see to that they actually cause the change. The heart knows what it has to do. They should not let anything outside their heart to come in the way of feeling what they want to do to cause a difference in the society and what and how they can contribute to the society - not for name or fame but to show that yes 'I am that flame and I did everything, I showed the courage and conviction and motivated probably thousands of people around to believe in the good cause -a cause that is not mine but a cause that is divine - and I just am possessed by the divine and I act for the divine and so I am divine.' Every youngster is capable of changing things around in the society. Another example - if some one is moved by the fact that some young boy from a slum is literally collecting rags to earn a living, or another is working at a vehicle garage, or another boy is a waiter at a hotel, then that student who is moved should courageously study what needs to be done to change the situation. They should have the courage to listen to what the heart says and not just feel incapable of changing the situation. The courage will come only if they believe that they are themselves a super divine Godly agent sent as a specific program to take up some responsibility in the society. This is the truth - each human being was sent by God with a specific program that fits into this society perfectly well. And if some people want to take up many responsibilities tha t can make this world a better place - and what it simply means is that if they want to spread joy by giving comfort to people by making others lives easy, joyful and peaceful and creative, then such students should study all those real world things that can empower themselves to help others. And to repeat, every young person or even old has the capacity and yes God has sent them with super powers in this very human body to do what their heart will guide them to do. Since people are lost, they need to find programs and platforms like Heartfulness or any other spiritual method that will put them at ease with themselves, given them confidence and yes, change their biological belief and yes remove the mindset that they are incapable - this is the biggest disease! Even parents should listen to what good their children want to do to the society and assure them that yes - each child is a super hero and God is not a fool to just send some children who just eat and become overweight and become couch potatoes. Thank you dear Master.

    I am not able to see what additional value the concept of heartfulness adds to that of mindfulness. Even this individual sidesteps that point. Ultimately we all know that the 'heart' is an organ that pumps blood, and that the seat of emotions is in the brain, specifically in the insula and amygdala. Even if you forget the technical details and only focus on experience (as even he advises), mindfulness is not 'brainfulness', it is being present to our feelings, thoughts, being mindful of others (empathy), and of the consequences of our actions. It is done with gratitude, openness, curiosity, love and kindness. Technically and experientially, mindfulness covers all the aspects of heartfulness and is a much older, and more established concept.
    Before the hate speech comes flooding, please note that I am open to any sensible and meaningful critiques to my comment as I am a mental health professional who has reviewed the research on mindfuness in schools (around 2400 references on Pubmed) vs heartfulness in schools (1, even that is published by their own group) for the purposes of a research project. Just to be clear, for those individuals who like Daaji, are welcome to do so, he seems like a perfectly nice guy and I don't think there is anything wrong in what he is saying...

    • @bilbo8338

      I think heartfulness works because it's taking the focus away from the brain(the house of thoughts, emotions) to the heart. People don't have to fight with incoming stray thoughts/chattering while meditating on the heart, that's why its easier to feel a sense of calmness through heartfulness. Atleast that's my understanding on how it works. Anyways I am myself finding the best method of meditation since there are so many gurus and so many different methods it's easy to get overwhelmed.

    • @alvisinger112
      @alvisinger112 Před 4 lety +3

      No hate mail here!!! Mindfulness is wonderful and is certainly the more mainstream one with all the empirical evidence. Having tried both I would say they’re simply different methods of meditation. One doesn’t really build on the other. From a clinical perspective I could see how Mindfulness could be more appropriate but from a personal perspective I’ve got more out of Heartfulness. But I think both are great!!

    • @yogitahatangadi1167
      @yogitahatangadi1167 Před 4 lety +3

      I would think that Heartfulness is more apt because the beginning and end of life happens with the heart. It is possible to survive in a bread dead condition but what happens when the heart stops? Can we still survive? Hence I personally believe that Heartfulness will stay with me till my last breath in this life..

      You cannot explain something that innate in every human being ,the heart and how it differs from the mind . Also everyone's experience is also different ,buy if you cannot even understand such a simple yet deep difference between heartfullness dealing with the purity and truth of the heart compared to "mindfulness" which usually needs to be practiced and uses the brain which takes time to think and princess and you really cannot differentiate between the two that sounds like an off personal issue that no amount of "education" nor study can help you with .
