You may know that weaving was an art centuries ago and Dhakai Muslin was popular among European royalty (UK and France) before it was destroyed by the British to market Manchester andLancashire textiles by even cutting fingers of Dhaka's artisans. The art came down in family teachings and recently attempts have been made to reinstate Muslin fabric by Hasina, the PM. Proud Bangladeshi, Boston, USA.

दरअसल ये एक विरोध गीत है. क्योंकि, भारत ने तंगैल जिले में तंगैली लूम साड़ियों का जीआई टैग चुरा लिया और उस पर अपना दावा कर दिया। सुनने में बुरा लगता है लेकिन ये सच है. टैंगैली लूम साड़ियाँ हमारे बांग्लादेश करघा उद्योग का गौरव हैं। और इस एमवी में हमारी बंगाली विरासत को बहुत खूबसूरती से बढ़ावा दिया गया है।
আসলে এটা একটা প্রতিবাদী গান। কারণ, ভারত টাঙ্গাইল জেলার তাঁতের শাড়ির জিআই ট্যাগ চুরি করে নিজেদের বলে দাবি করেছে। শুনতে খারাপ লাগলেও এটাই সত্যি। টাঙ্গেলি তাঁতের শাড়ি আমাদের বাংলাদেশের তাঁত শিল্পের গর্ব। আর এই এমভিতে আমাদের বাঙালি ঐতিহ্যকে খুব সুন্দরভাবে তুলে ধরা হয়েছে।

TAT means, make lacework by knotting or looping. To tat is to make lace. Tatting involves making loops and tying knots in a long piece of thread over and over again. Most of the lace made today is created with a machine, and the ability to tat, or make lace by hand, is rare. Tatting requires a lot of silk or cotton thread and either a metal disc called a "shuttle," needles, or a crochet hook. And TATI mean, weaver. What does it do? Answer: Work at a loom; weave. And where does it sit and do the work? Answer: Weaver's Workshop.
This song is a masterpiece because of its marketing policy for Bangladeshi traditional fabrics. On the other hand, through this, a protest has been expressed against India as they claimed GI rights to Bangladesh's own product, the Tangail Saree. Tangail is a district of Bangladesh, and nowhere is Tangail saree produced except in that particular area of Bangladesh. Bangladeshi people are really angry about this, as they're trying to avoid using Indian products.

Thank you my brother for the lovely reaction and appreciation of the music, tradition and culture of Bangladesh. This song was made in recognition of the traditional weaving of our country. Bengal in particular Dhaka the capital city of Bangladesh was rich in Muslin but that was stopped during the British colonial rule where our loom weavers were put out of business and even punished physically by the British. Our resources were stolen for the benefit of Britain. Weaving is one of the many traditions in our country, and Jamdani saree is famous all over the world.
During the 17th and 18th centuries, Mughal Bengal emerged as the foremost muslin exporter in the world, with Mughal Dhaka as capital of the worldwide muslin trade. It became highly popular in 18th-century France and eventually spread across much of the Western world. Dhaka muslin was first showcased in the UK at The Great Exhibition of the Works of Industry of All Nations in 1851. The backstory of this song is available in the description.
