Can’t believe how much Manchester airport has changed, I remember it has Ringway! I last used Manchester in 2013, moved South so it’s now Gatwick. Loved the trip with you back to Tenerife and the takeoff❣️

Andrew - that looks to me like the VS A350-1000 and not the Dreamliner, its the latest aircraft on the VS fleet. The A350's have the curved wing tips. Hard to say why the engines have the covers over them, just out of maintenance or not flying for a few days so protecting from weather

Our tradition is always burger king when flying back from tenerife.i love the part on the plane and the captain says we're going Tenerife and everyone cheered,loved that🥰

Another great vlog Andrew. Wow, Manchester airport looks good. I agree, I wouldn't have a sit down meal before a flight but the food in Pret a Manger is nice. Have used Jet2 twice and think they are very organized. Glad you got back safely 🤗

I used to travel quite a lot before Corona for work. My tradition is looking around in the bookshop and buy a book or magazine and then get a Starbucks coffee and a slice of cake or a muffin. Great video again!

Great video Andrew. Flew from Terminal 2 in September when we came to Tenerife. Had meal in Bridgewater Exchange, really nice and not badly priced. As you say long walk to your boarding gate. Flying with Jet2 in March when coming to Tenerife. Not long now, can't wait.

Great Vlog Andrew, I do love the travel days . Flying Jet2 when we’re over in March so was good to see the new terminal etc. Only flown with them once before on a rescue flight from Lanzarote March 2020.To Edinburgh (car in Manchester). Only Airport we could get in the UK.😞.

Great vlog Andrew That visit went quickly & interesting to see what travelling is like in different airports Seemed similar to Dublin airport Terminal 2
We will be in Tenerife from Tuesday & will get in touch & hopefully meet up x👍PS just to add Dublin airport does not have drop off fees but not allowed park outside or near terminal building x

Great insight into the flight to Tenerife. Back in the day when we travelled abroad we always got a Whopper from Burger King and also tried the perfumes/aftershaves in Duty Free and then when we got to Tenerife, we would go into the perfume shops and buy some.

Nice vlog, really enjoyed it. With regard to queing on the stairs this is with 200+ passengers who need processing at the gate its necessary to start the process before the cabin is released to achieve an ontime departure. Keep up the good work!

Crazy! Rip off!
I flew with Jet2 late last year from the new T2 into Tenerife and the experience was great, they are currently rated number 1 short-haul for a reason and they could not do more for us either at the terminal or on the plance but flying with young kids is a minefield at the minute regardless of airline. Jet2 don't allow rear-facing baby seats of any kind onto the plane, you also have to sit seperate if you are a taller gent and need the extra legroom. Tui are more expensive than Jet2 but all of you can sit together in the extra legroom seats. As for T2 itself, the front of shop overhaul is a complete success, I thought the drop-off point and the security checks were a world away from Tenerife South. I think they have picked vendors that are popular in Manchester. Both Archies and Seven Brothers are well known brands in Manchester. I can highly recommend the Royale with Cheese burger, the hot fries and a milkshake.Seven Brothers have brewing operations in South East Manchester and therefore you are going to be getting fresher lager and beer every day than a 'spoons. As for the long walk to the T2 boarding gates, the gates themselves, the whole stress of 'the stair situation', it is a classic British failure, especially for those less able and those with kids. I don't see why they left it like that. Its better than depatures at Tenerife South but thats a low bar to reach at the best of times.

Definitely needs a Weatherspoons there would make a good trade im sure. We usually fly from HR or Gatwick and they have some nice eating places.
Only flown Easyjet and BA since we could get flying again. Both always checked on the outbound we had the passenger locator form completed, its the airlines responsibility before you fly.
Looks like ur Dad enjoyed ur visit and am sure he will be back with your Mum to Tenerife soon.
I'm trying to plan a 3 or 4 night in October. We usually wouldn't travel for that short to Canaries but as we went to Orlando in Nov instead we want to come back if we can.

Haven't holidayed since 2019 but when we do it's early morning flight out of London Gatwick. Big breath out when luggage meets the allowance then relax and off to breakfast in what used to be called Garfunkels, it's tradition.

When in the departure lounge akwys buy water the wife always get a magazine. On board we always have a miniature brandys with small can of lemonade & two hot cheese & ham baguette. Happy Days Andrew. 😍👍😁X

Hi Andrew, did you notice whether terminal 2 had a kids play area now that’s new? I know it did before so hope it hasn’t been taken out! Coming to Tenerife in March with our baby and 3 year old so need something to tire him out before the flight! 🤞🏻🙌🏻

I got there 2 hours before no problems but i had no luggage

I can't wait to travel to Tenerife from Manchester Airport in September using Jet2. It would be my 2nd time on holiday! Last time on holiday was from Newcastle Airport using Jet2. I went on holiday last time to Kos Island. Cant wait to be on holiday.

Need more seating at Manchester we travelled in November and struggled to find a seat, there were 7 of us, at 7am but as travel picks up I think it's going to cause big issues.

Manchester is my airport too. Looks fancy now!!! We are flying Jet2 at 10am on a Tuesday in July. We always like to get something to eat in the airport. For some reason since we have had the kids to take too I get anxious at the airport. Don’t know if it’s because I’ve got more things to remember or whatever. I’m fine once I get on the plane 😂 But genuinely this for some reason makes me feel a bit less anxious. Like I can be thoroughly prepared or something. I don’t know why it’s only since kids 🙈🤣
The 5 year old flew well last time when he was 2 and the youngest is a generally happy baby altogether to sure be fine. We can’t wait to be off on holiday together 🛫

I flew to Tenerife at the new T2 last year and wasn’t a fan. Just seems cramped and dark. I’ll give it another chance when we head back out in June. Flying to Alicante on Wednesday from Liverpool - Nice snd straight forward 👍🏼
