To me, Sprout is a troubled character. He was more influenced by his mother of his actions in the movie and brought up the wrong way. His real intentions was to gain respect, but he executed it the wrong way. He is remorseful and wants to change, but his laziness is keeping him from doing so. He has great potential in having a good redemption arc due to the game and his remorsefulness, but Hasbro is keeping him in the background and keeping him from changing ( which is a problem considering the fact that they literal put him on a path to redemption towards the end of the movie). I'd love to see a redemption arc for him, but if Hasbro keeps going down this road, there won't be any room for him to change in time.
It is by law that this idiot appears in each Chapter, and that is why the chapters where Sprout appears are my favorites. Hopefully there will be more, and I still hope him will be part of the Mane 6, it would be interesting, but I still like the kind of attention they give him. Sprout 🙏🙏🙏

They both caused trouble in Maretime Bay once while the other ponies live with something bad.

Particularly on the grounds that he clearly never changed his ways following the events of the film, he never admits to his mistakes, and he obviously only cares about himself and what HE wants.
