My family had a cattle ranch along the Missouri in Montana. Indeed. What struck me is how close the ranching community was, how they helped one another and day or night, were there for each other. My aunt Meredith always had a pot of coffee and a pie for company. Take care, fellow Montanan!!!!

Utterly unlike any western I've ever seen or read. Slow, tension-filled, building to a BIG and unexpected payoff at the end. I'm glad I did not read a synopsis of the plot before watching. The cinematography is breathtaking. And although the flashy performance is by Cumberbatch, I admired Jesse Plemons' understated, touching performance as much.

I never realized how this would end! Cumberbatch is amazing. The young son is phenomenal. Blown away!
I still can't get over Benedict Cumberbatch's American accent.
Benedict Cumberbatch IS American .
He is born as Benjamin Butterworth in Seattle Washington.
Mother (Carole Smith) , Father (Blair Butterworth) , brother (Drew) are all Americans living and growing up in Seattle , WA , USA .
His mother , Carole , writes to me in the early 90's to introduce her sons with a photo which I promptly digitized , printed back a copy , and "drew" (defaced) with horns , pirate attire , missing teeth , the regular stuff. I also scribbled a suggestion for a "Hollywood" name for her eldest son Benjamin , who was an aspiring thesbian (not lesbian).
While sitting at my Mac work station that same morning the TV behind me was showing PBS Reading Rainbow hosted by LeVar Burton.
Burton narrated a review of the children's book :
Benedict and the Cumberpatch.
If I ever get "recognition" from his mom for having funneled to them the name which they chose to use as his moniker to ascend the top of his profession (mainly UK) , I be gratified and happy as a troll in an English garden.
No shit , Sherlock !!
@@AlexanderDunetz u sure you didnt just happen to accidentally suggest to another family with the common name benjamin this and its just a weird coincidence? bc this ben is a world-famous actor I think it would have broke by now if he was secretly America, also his brit accent is insanely strong and all his official information says he's born and raised in London soooo
Ella :
We presently function within a civilization in which fake , fraudulent , and swindle are the "New normal".
The timelines betwixt
Benedict Cumberpatch
and
Benjamin Butterworth
are a cozy fit.
They do not overlap.
Benedict's British accent is acquired.
Benedict's Western accent is homespun.
Take that "official information" you are gullible to accept and review it strained through the skeptical paradigm that ALL evidence requires stringent verification.
Benedict's English parents are shills.
The main thing is that "Check your sources."
becomes primarily requisite.
Even 2nd-hand info is now more incredible than not.
I should track down Ben's mom , Carol , and put it to her.
I anticipate being lied to.
No big deal an actor's dual persona is compared to repeatedly being lied to by municipal constabulary as to their knowledge about politically-motivated mass murder within their jurisdiction , L.A. County.
That's the toxic serious felonious business I am sweating to untangle presently.

@@julio_zepeda Okay, well, I was engaged from the very first and found character depth and hints to be forthcoming from very beginning, without revealing too much, which left me always questioning. The balance was perfect.
There’s so much happening in this movie. So many innuendos. So many many things. Some of which had me laughing out loud at the in your face sexual symbolism. There’s tons of Freudian takes in this movie. To whomever says it’s boring has low comprehension. It’s what’s not being said that’s telling the entire story. This movie is absolutely brilliant. The slow parts were to build the character and if you’re expecting to be told blatantly about the characters and their dynamics your going to be bored because it just seems needless… when it’s absolutely imperative to the movie.
You just have to pay attention to the film. To the dialogues, the scenes without it, all of it. It's not that complicated. Just watch.
