They consider their CEO their father, and dont portray him as an arse. He pulled money out of pocket to send them to LA to train as KQ Fellaz. He keeps in touch with their parents, and refers to them as his sons. He hired a team of professionals for athletic care for the group, as their shows are so exhaustive. (They have personal trainers, health checks, etc.) When they are out touring and he is supposed to be busy on business, he will appear casually in the city to take them out to eat as if it was a "coincidence." When he attends their events, he keeps all of the spotlight off of himself, so the only times he is pointed out is by ATEEZ who have the crowd chant for him. (Chanting Daddy, having the CEO make a heart sign, etc.) In the photos of him with ATEEZ his body language is always that of an older brother. They look very relaxed with each other, and people have mistaken the CEO as being a family member or close staff member in the past! Members have mentioned, and been spotted, borrowing his clothes. He always gives them gifts suited to their styles/interests, and not just for birthdays/rewards! (I remember San mentioning his computer, headphones and electronics were gifts from the CEO. San didn't show it off when he got it, like the CEO was showing off. It was an offhand mention in San's live because he wanted to make sure Jongho took care of his headphones, as they were a gift.)
Editing to add: CEO used to work at Stardom Entertainment. They had legal issues with not paying idols/trainees. (In court it was ruled fair that they weren't paid, and that the company wasn't at fault due to poor money management and more blahblah.) He "took" Block B and started Seven Seasons for them. KQ was just supposed to be production, but branched into idols with Hongjoong being an inspiration. In my opinion, this background leads me to believe he'd be very focused on fair pay. If I remember correctly, a big part of the reason he used his own funds to send them to the US is because he didn't want the company to take on additional debt. There have been reviews of their finances, and the "debt" KQ was in never tied to any documented loans from '19 on. There is no interest shown being paid from 19 on, and seeing as they debuted end of OCT 18, this means no bank debt at time of debut. That would mean they had a cash reserve to pull from. Despite not turning a profit, they never needed a loan and maintained the same operating funds. The analysis I've seen point to the CEO being the backer. It is believed he either used the $ he got from Sony purchasing shares early on, or that he took out a person loan/used his own funds. So in terms of payment- I'm fairly sure our boys are covered!

Atiny present! From what I know, the CEO is not a terrible person. KQ has a motto when you first walk into the building that says: Humanistic Theory with an explanation about it and underneath that it lists 3 principles that KQ wants their employees / idols to abide by: 1) KQ puts people first, 2) KQ respects positive aspect of the employees, freedom and dignity, and 3) KQ members keep 3 principles of attitude (genuineness, emphatic understanding, and unconditional positive regard). He's known to gift the members presents, attends the concerts, and even if they don't do well, he'll still tell them that they did well. For instance, Jongho sang a bit out of key, and the CEO gave him a hi-five and told him, "Good job. At least, they know you're singing live". The members and staff are very close. You'll see it in the variety shows. Ateez always makes sure that the staff are okay too.

Hello, army and atiny here. I am going to be objective regarding the issue of performances, it is not to disparage any group but among the three that you have named, ATEEZ has another level of stage presence. I don't know about skz so I won't talk about them, but I've seen all of BTS's concerts and I can say that what BTS does is more normal and appropriate for a concert than what ATEEZ does. BTS of course has a storyline, but ATEEZ takes it to another level. They not only include their storyline in the MVs, but also in the lyrics of their songs and even their performances. Maybe I don't know of another case, but I have never seen any Kpop group meddle so much with their history even in concerts like ATEEZ does, that's what makes them different and entertaining to watch over other groups.

The difference between stray, kids, and Ateez is stray. Kids comes from a company that has money so if stray kids was to fail on making up dance moves and writing your own songs, the money would’ve kicked in and they would’ve had to help. That would not be the same for Ateez they had to work super hard and make sure that everything was almost perfect and what they did because there was no money in the company to back them up so failing was not an option

This. This is why I get pissed when people try to compare Ateez to Stray Kids. JYPE had enough money to support Stray Kids until they became successful. They are talented, but they also had a well-endowed safety net. Ateez didn't have this. Ateez's literal situation was every album could have been their last if they had underperformed. I know Stray Kids worked hard, but I am not impressed by their success. Ateez literally made KQ with talent alone. 🤔🤔

I think what she means by "its hard to imagine any other group putting on the performances ateez do" means less that they are objectively the best performers, and more that their style of performance is unique to them specifically, and thats why it would be hard to imagine another group doing the same. More of a, this is a unique concept and presence that only this group has and less of this is the best kind of performance that exists, because thats a completely subjective opinion. I would say as someone who has been a fan of kpop since 2016 and started out with bts, it is true that ateez have a unique air about them in their performances that isn't seen in other groups, but they're not the only ones. There do exist other groups who do well at sticking out in the sea of monotony, like skz and bts.

I recently went to Ateez’s Toward the Light concert and, honestly, it’s not a tour to miss! I have seen BTS 7 times and Stray Kids 4 times, but Ateez, who I have seen 3 times, is on a whole different playing field. Stray Kids doesn’t really have a storyline like Ateez, so it’s hard to compare. I think BTS’s Wings and Love Yourself: Answer performances might be similar, but Ateez’s entire concert is more like a play. BTS has their VCRs between songs that help facilitate the concept of the concert or the lore, but Ateez has very few VCRs. Instead, they act out the parts between the songs live- they’re not just singers and dancers, they’re also actors.

She’s not saying that Ateez’ performances are better than other groups (although I feel like they are better than SOME other groups), just that their performances are unique and different from other groups because they incorporate their lore and storyline into their live performances. So Stray Kids or Ateez wouldn’t put on those same performances because they are specific to Ateez Story. For example, I don’t remember if it was the MMA or MAMA 2023, the performance they did for that filled in holes in the storyline that I had been struggling to figure out since The World Episode 2: Outlaw came out 6 months earlier.

Once you dive into Ateez's performances, I think you'll start to understand why the guide says as such. Ateez is mainly known as a performance group, and a group you MUST see live in person. There is a reason why Atinys, even in the comments here, hype up their performances so much and extensively talk about their talent. The thing I love about Ateez is they're always 100% into their performances & take facial expressions very seriously (tho they have got hate for it by kpop stans, I'm glad they stick to it). They don't care about pretty image, they care more about the emotion & art. That's why they, specifically San was called as the idol who raised the standards of kpop performances. So when they say ATEEZ puts on a performance only ATEEZ can do...I view that as a stylistic thing. I noticed this in Kingdom when the groups did performances together. I love Stray Kids...they're amazing, but in that performance of "Wolf" I noticed ATEEZ's members sticking out (to me personally) because of their style. Everyone did amazing, but something is different that other groups don't do the same. Can I truly explain it? No lol It's style - not quality - not saying they're better than them. I find ATEEZ way more theatrical when it comes to performing and using every part of their body to express things all the way down to their fingertips. They're very detailed - even in their concerts. I've seen them live before and I get to see them next week again! Woohoo! 🥰

as you dive deeper into them performances you’ll be a able to see why atinys have such confidence on ateez’ performance skills 🫶🏻 like yes other groups do amazing too but their flavor and stage mannerisms are just something out of this world and just so THEM, specially with the theatrics being involved and their whole current concert being a full on theater performance with intense acting, live singing and powerful dances… kingdom was just a sneak peak of what they are believe us

Speaking about the Mingi and Watermelon/Chicken thing we have a joke about him being a black man or our african king and black Atinys have many comments of him being a:
    "Glorious african king"
    "Carribean man"
"Was a black man in his past life"
And we have even changed his name to "Songavious Malik" which refers to his real name "Song Mingi"
Hes also very VERY attracted to black women, he was sad when he couldnt see Tyla perform (like depressed) and he is always flirting with black atinys and in concerts he even sat on the side that had the most black atinys and sat there for a while so he feels a big connection with us I guess.
I mean if you ask me (A black/Carribean person) he died as a black man and woke up as princess mingki 😂

What they mean by no one else being able to put on performances that Ateez does is that they make their own style and put their own touch. They don't copy and do their own thing. It's a strength that the biggest groups like BTS and Straykids have, namely, individuality and uniqueness. So, like when they covered BTS in an award show, they did it well but in their own style since no one can do BTS like BTS does BTS. Same way, no one can do Ateez like Ateez does Ateez
