- Two special guests popped into Paradise recently for an afternoon of stories and songs.
Brothers Jools and Dante Gizzi from the Glasgow band, GUN, are in the middle of an acoustic tour before they embark on a bigger tour later this year to coincide with the launch of their new album, The Calton Songs.
And they played two of their songs - Backstreet Brothers and Better Days, which was the band’s first ever single back in 1989 - as well as talking about their lifelong love of Celtic.
Jools and Dante were brought up in the Calton district of Glasgow, and speaking to Celtic TV, they reflected on some of their favourite memories of supporting the Hoops, and explained that they plan to make a pilgrimage to the Estadio Nacional in Lisbon when they’re playing in Portugal.

The Calton Songs album will be released on October 14, 2022.

First discovered Gun when I was 15 I am now 49 and they are still one of the best bands I have heard and they are Tim's. Hail Hail
Great to see the Gun boys at Celtic Park , I know they must have absolutely loved that.
Congrats Joolz and Dante.
Forced to go to Braehead yesterday, no happy at all, recognised the Gizzi bros from gun strolling by , I last saw them gig in London many years ago, nodded and asked the guys if their still gigging, tell me their doing a promo there now, blew me away! Bought the cd , sighted by the band , photo , Dante’s eyes lit up seeing big Cesar on my screen with the big cup, shouted Jools over, knowing smile! Got tickets for me & the wife at the Barrowlands, nearly 30 year since the last gig!
Things could be heaven, but this feels like hell.
So hold your head high, coz you know I'd die for better days.🍀.

Superb mire of this please
The board, with their ineptitude gave Ange a near impossible hill to climb. He had to come in at the last minute, get rid of all the players who wanted to leave, build a brand new team and squad in a very short time, win over the sceptics, shut the media up quickly, but fair play the big man delivered the impossible dream of the league title in his first season.
If the board had done their job's properly they would have sacked Lennon at Xmas and had his successor lined up. They should have then backed the new manager in January and tried to salvage 10 in a row, instead of letting it go with a whimper.
The board have to thank Ange more than us as he saved their jobs by bringing the good feeling back to the fans.
Cracking
