Have you tried this poker strategy? Also, here are the 5 highly profitable hands you need to stop folding: czcams.com/video/Zn2sOOTA-1s/video.html
this might've worked ten years ago, nowadays two overs float that bet on the flop (though they'll lead out river so at least you can get away) and any checked turn gets called. you pretty much need to three barrel here to get a bluff through or you can just give up on the hand and check/fold down as soon as you miss the flop.
Just won my first poker tournament! $2 buy in and I won $270 this is small stakes but for me it's the Start of my prominent career. So happy and I played amazingly. Got lucky In a couple hands obviously but besides that it was mainly maximizing profit and minimizing losses.
I haven't played poker in years...I still passed your test on how to play this hand...
You are now my coach. Sorry I didn’t choose you the life did. I won a cash game using your knowledge
Love the videos man
Amazing how many strategies have literally skyrocketed the winnings
Thanks for these videos Nathan! They are helping my game. I just need to be more aggressive in raising and re-raising my hands. I play live cash games. Mostly 1/2. Too often my AK, AQ, etc hands don’t take the pit down and someone wins like with a pair of 3’s ( one being on board) . Seems on 1/2 they always want to call even with smallest pair. And I play a variety on hands; not just premium cards
That’s why you gotta know who you’re playing against. You can’t 200 iq a recreational player bc they don’t see the board how someone like you a better player would
@@alonsomacias8607 so true. I spend lots of time learning the players at my table and adjust. 1/2 cash games can be brutal
Happy to help!
Does this apply to tournament poker too?
Hi. If you had a king instead of an ace, would you have bet 75% on the river?
Thank you for the content
Playing boost/zoom, I have found a somewhat more cautious approach is working well for me. When I have a playable hand, I call anyone, within reason, who raises the big blind preflop. If I am the first to bet however, or if previous betters have only called the big blind, I bet 5 big blinds.
The reasoning is those who raised the big blind ahead of you probably have SOMETHING. Something with some hope to it. Why gamble excessively against that? Just see a flop and take it from there. Also, why bet really big (3 bet) to benefit someone on either side of you with pocket aces or kings? That's a good way to get burned.
If I am first to bet well then you want most people to fold so go for a very solid opening bet. If they don't fold, you'll have a good sized pot right at the flop. Post flop percentage betting will be more meaningful then. Saves a lot of time because your wins generate a lot more chips. Anyway, it seems to be working pretty well. Playing a more cautious/smarter game with a little higher vpip is the ticket. You won't get anywhere playing with an excessively low vpip. You have to get action and play it smarter than most other opponents. I currently play at about 25% vpip.
..
Hi Nathan, have you played any hold em in the Philippines? I’m wondering if the action is any good over there. Thank you.
Yup, good games in Manila
I did this and got called and he crushed me with pocket 2s 😢
I need the counter strategy against this
what if the opponent raises? double your 3/4 pot raise, more than that, etc.? I guess: fold... stall for the effect?!? :)
If you get raised on the turn or river fold. Majority of the raises will have you beat. Don't worry about folding to a bluff. The overall probabilities will still be in your favor. I've had an opponent crow when he bluffed me off a hand, only to lose his stack to me shortly after. Guppies.

Thanks!
I get "players" that constantly raise = bullies.
I keep folding until I get "the nuts" and then do the nasty "check-raise", and if they raise me again, I put them "all in".
I stall as well - hoping they leave.
this is when I want to play and there are no other tables.
Your thoughts?
Folding doesn't feel right, but calling/raising is pure bingo facing a "Cingo Bunt" or a "Bucking Floffer"...
@@OrenLikesIf you're in position go ahead and c-bet the flop and if they raise, re-raise. This way you make your investment in the hand early before the pot gets too large. So then if they stick around and raise the turn or river you can let it go if you don't have a very strong hand and you haven't lost too much. I try to avoid getting my stack committed without a very strong hand. You'll of course lose sometimes but try to be the "bully" you refer too. Everyone feels bullied by aggression. That's what makes it work so effectively. Watch those guys that are taking advantage of you and definitely play it only when in position. And don't play junky starters.
One other thing. Read Nathan's books, I got them a couple of years ago after floundering a bit initially and they really helped me develop my fundamentals at the micros and now moving up pretty good..

In Zynga (yeah, I know: free game, free money, some buy with real money - not me, gives a lot of free bonus money, not like real cash games, but with statistics) - I see those bullies' statistics and their ratio of money balance per game is way lower than mine = to me it means it is not the right play to **always** be the bully by **always** raising anything - nor to call/raise unless with "nuts" against this kind of bully.
I do not want to be this kind of bully, without double-quotes, as it doesn't seem profitable to me and it does seem assholy and cunty... :)

Which hard rock you play at? I play at Tampa and Hollywood. My home spot is in Orange city though

If he calls the bluff - best hand wins.
What if he re-raises (could it be a bluff)? Just fold, I guess - or, go all-in?!? (probably not).
79s is better than 78s. Incorrect 20% chart.
“Skyrocketed my results slightly” did they sky rocket, or was it slightly Lmao
Skyrocketed my results lately
Bro discovered bluffing
My 6,7 would have taken your money
So would many others, but his point is to help us with aggressiveness vs, passively waiting for the nuts like a nit.
I Absolutely hate poker players who play like this
These poker tips are way to basic and aren’t the gto way to play
Ok Addamo…
You really don't want to attempt GTO at low stakes or w/o a lot of experience. He offers some good exploitive advice.
