Very interesting remake! Believe it or not, Press Start used to be my favorite level lol. And so i always get a bit of nostalgia whenever i see a press start remake.
I think there are 2 things you should fix tho:
5:09 The parallax for the cacti is wrong. It should move to the right instead. The more objects leave the camera field slowly, the more they appear to be far from the camera. (its fine for the clouds tho because they could be moving, and it would make sense)
6:59 The purple blocks are used wrong. Kinda like with the 2.1 blocks (used in fingerdash for example), you need to place multiple of them in a pattern. For this one specifically, you need to place the first one on top, and the second one below it. And copy-paste the simple pattern after that
This "Geometry to the dizzle Dash!" intro never gets old when I watch your videos! đ„đ„đ„đ„

I bet he would be fine with it if you were to expand on his ideas, he would also be happy that he was the inspiration for you to do it, go for it and see what happens.
I reckon he wouldnât care as long as you donât directly copy from him.
you can move the clouds up and down to make a little bit more interresting
3:14 you dont know how often this glitch can occur. when it does, its always annoying because i can never figure out why its happening. otherwise, some good remastering!

i just think that the grass mushroom and cactus look a little out of place imo you should change the color to a color that will match better the bg
exemple a cactus least bright with a more purple color
it's just my opinion maybe later it will look better
