Solo Wild Camp In The Peak District | Overlooking Howden Reservoir
Vložit
- čas přidán 2. 11. 2016
- This was a quick solo overnight wild camp in the Peak District (Howden Reservoir). I had a chilled out time drinking wine and taking in the stars. It got a bit cold over night but I was toasty warm with my many clothes on.
Thanks for watching

Your moving poem reminds me of an old aboriginal saying I picked up in Australia "Neighbours, everyone needs good neighbours" deep, very deep man. Great video, Steve.
hahah ^
That's so profound, I might get that tattooed on my lower back.
Hahahaha.
My faith in the ability of some people to ignore silly rules and get out there and sleep (in our own land) is renewed!
Excellent video, looks like you nailed the star time lapses too. Thanks for the shout out too :-) took me by surprise and I almost chocked on my coffee haha. Great spot for a camp. Looking forward to the next vid
My lens froze over so the star shots had to be cut short. It's a pleasure mate, your a fountain of knowledge when it comes to the peaks. Thanks for all your hard work. Peace out.
Haze Outdoors thanks man, having wild camping withdrawals symptoms at the moment so was nice to see your video :-)
Thanks for the reality show Hazey and the profound poetry. The perfect and pure light of the languishing stars wasn't bad either. Given how things work (another reality check) you'll no doubt be buddy's with Dean soon. Peace and all the best. Mark.
Great camp Haze, we was out on those hills around the same time as you on the vid we just posted. Keep the vids coming, we really enjoy them. Atb Gareth&Zoe Wildcamps.
.
great times. yeah I liked that the clocks went back as it was my birthday the next day, a extra hour of being 33 :) I brought one of those tents, great in strong winds in and out the tent :)
Thoroughly entertaining as always pal!
In the words of Shaking Stevens "lovely stuff' ....... ATB Craig
Another lovely vid..specially when you stopped waffling!! Spent a lot of time round those three reservoirs...living in London it was about the first wilderness I could get to.Regards
Dude you had me in stitches, love this video... Love a bag of wine 👍🤣
That poem... omg sublime. Goosebumps.
Loving the frequency of content, and I have some ale to drink while watching, thanks for sharing.
Nice one mate, I was lucky enough to get out quite a bit recently.
Just discovered you! So true about Dean Read that ledge in the Peaks.
SUCH a lovely video- I'm just back from vlogging the peaks and I next time I will use this vid as inspiration. I haven't got the courage to go out and solo hike yet!! xx
a perfect liberty cap, how colorful , grait stuff man
your video quality gets better each time, I really liked the last part where you walked into the sunset, very good! atb Rob
Watched it again and again still makes me laugh, wqlked and cycled any pointers to the route, Cheers Hazey. 👍👍
Great solo effort:)Nice colours and shallow depth of focus. Waxing means it is becoming brighter (the moon that is) Waning is the other way around.
I do that candle reflector thing too.
ATB
Sandy
Cheers man, the new moon was a day or so before I camped to it was a waxing moon but just a slither and getting brighter by the day. The candle reflector gives such a lovely glow, so much better than artificial light and something a bit more primal and fitting. I always enjoy your videos mate, you have a very calming manor and an excellent vocabulary. Big up yourself!
Best one yet :) loved it!
09:39 - Classic! You did well holding that in :)
Very nice night shots.Lookin' for some frost this weekend myself.Thanks. ZZ.
Wow, such an amazing video of the Peak District :)

Mate! I had to edit the best bit of that plane going past because i was swearing like a fisherman
Dude this is so strange, I was there a couple of weeks back, in pretty much exactly the same place, using the same backpack, sleeping in the same tent, I even had a bag of red wine.....I also agree, Deans a legend. I recorded my trip, but been a lazy mofo and haven't edited and posted it yet, but when I do, maybe you'll enjoy it.

My Dad once blew up an empty bag of wine and gave it to me when I went camping, said I could use it as a pillow, was a bit hard though!

“Everyone who wanders is not lost”
“I stopped telling myself that I’m lost.
I’m not. I’m on a road with no destination, I’m just walking with hope that I’ll find a place that I like and I’ll rest there awhile. I’m not lost, I’m on my way.“
Had to stop the video and say 32 seconds in STUNNING!
What a lovely thing to say, cheers matey

And my trousers love you
daww how sweet of them ;)
Ripper job mate, thanks 'eh.
Salute
Love this! Hoping to head out soon to wild camp in the Peaks but have no idea where to start because I don't drive! Do you know of any easily accessible places by bus or rail?
Loz not allowed to get caught *
When I take a bag of wine with me I have no need for a pillow. Once it's empty inflate. Two uses in one. It needs to be a a 3ltr one though. Or fill with water, freeze n my Huskies and Wolfdog has massive I've cubes to rest on.
HAHA alway love your vids. nice red wine out of box action. As for debonair:
1) rab c nesbitt top with a down layer,
2) boiler lagging jacket (pitty is not red tho)
3) comedy rip off trousers.
Its definitely the London look you going on there :D
How dare you! Those London folk couldn't mix it with me on the catwalks of Paris
Those gloves are fantastic!
True that
I've recognized "comptine d'un autre été", "running up that hill" cover version by Chromatics, but what about the japanese one that occurs more times? Did anyone knows?
Good Stuff Nice one
