The fact that Adams has a literal villain origin story about being beaten by police and seeing the power they had and that they couldn't be held accountable and wanting that for himself is truly disturbing.
We should ban tiktok and chinese state related institutions like the confucius-institution and the chinese police stations.
It was the Black cop who _didn’t_ beat him that he wanted to be, and thought there should be more of.
I mean it probably gave him a wake up call and inspired him to be a cop.
I wouldn’t say disturbing. I’d say wise if you want that power plus more.
Absolute power corrupts absolutely.
New York always picks the worst mayors lol
Picks best the city can offer.
@@droopy_eyes Garcia and Yang were better options. Adams simply had more political connections in the city, being an ex NYS senator and Brooklyn borough president.
Too much asbestos in the air.

Somebody should tell eric adams that there's nothing wrong with being a waiter, they are hardworking people.
There is most certainly something wrong with being a waiter: the wage.
He never said theres anything wrong , he just said they'll be waiters at his table of success.
@@sylvesteruchia5263 that's quite an insult he made, listen harder.
They're hater-waiters, different kind of waiters. This can include a wide range of people. Normal waiters are lower class citizens(AKA poor people), and no one in power actually cares or thinks about them....until election time.
The waiters-at-his-table-of-success remark was remarkable. True, he had success and is one of the most powerful people in NY. He won. Now he’s rubbing some people’s nose in it. There is a politician like him, and then there’s somebody like Bernie Sanders, self-effacing and laser-focused on issues rooted in his interpretation of equality.
*I am the pilot and you are all the passengers, there are no parachutes, if I go down we're all going down together*

That's Conservative behavior but Adams is what we get when the Republican is an unacceptable ghoul.
@@pro-choicemomtechnically republicans is pushing everyone else out of the plane 😂
no it's not. It's a classic mob-style threat/persuasion tactic
Idk, it's possible that that particular quote was taken out of context. It seemed like he could've been saying that on some level the city's success is tied to his success as mayor, regardless of whether one likes him or not.
Like, when Trump was elected, I wasn't a fan, but I was still hoping for his success as president, because I knew that if the president fails then that hurts everyone (these were basically Obama's parting words as he left the White House also).
The words didn't match the video. What's the proper context of the words he spoke?

I didnt really know who this guy was, but just hearing him speak a few times a few years ago, I predicted trouble. My instincts served me well.
Same here. The first time I saw him was his appearance on Colbert, and he brought merch with him and just acted creepy. I had the same thought you did: this isn't going to go well.

How does a presumably enlighten city vote the last three mayor's into office. It's one of the great mysteries of this century.
The last couple of centuries have had some real, er, choice examples.
That’s late-stage capitalism voting for you, baby!
We will never again get anything decent until money is taken out of politics. And THAT is the fight this country should have with itself if we’re going to fight over anything.
Trump and Biden and folks like Eric are just extensions of the monied classes. They do not represent the masses.
After seeing my neighbors on NextDoor in Brooklyn, it's not as enlightened city as you might imagine.
The last 4. And I thought Giuliani was the worst...
No choices. The same bucket of garbage that produced Rudy Giuliani gives us the worst possible choices to select between. NYC politics is rough.
A masterpiece of compilation. It seems that just about every political office in the USA is occupied by a narcissistic buffoon.😮
You've described the majority of the people who would want to run for office and are driven enough to make it.
@@WindsorMason I’ve recently wondered whether almost all of civilization has been governed by high functioning psychopaths to the extent that even when a particular ruler wasn’t a psychopath the entire system nevertheless was, which forced a would be benevolent ruler to function within it as best they could until a proper psychopath returned to power.🤨

Every day as mayor of New York gives you a new day to soar to greater lows
Her voice is angelic, her delivery is smooth like butter, but did you notice there's a shank in your side?
A few years ago, at the Williamsburg waterfront, there was a race going on with a ton of police around...I asked the guy next to me what was going on, he told me that it was a Police 5k run and that he was the Brooklyn Burroughs President. So, I pointed to a new construction site in front of us and asked him, why the city allows all those developments directly in the flood plane of the East River, in Flood Zone A? And if there rather should be parks and potential wetlands... And if the re-zoning of the Brooklyn waterfront wasn't a terrible mistake? He just glazed at me without saying a word. A year later this guy became mayor. Ineptitude and corruption are alive and well in NYC.
Before I got to the end of your story, I was gonna say, "that doesn't sound like the Marty Markowitz I know..."
The baby drug dealer DJ took me out🤣🤣🤣
Message received loud and clear. I'll just turn my anger into gold. Thanks for the warm wishes.
is he rich? cause he acts like an eccentric rich guy... either way bravo, quite a hilarious montage you have created here! 👍
The only piece they're missing is the PR vid NYPD made about prepping for and taking out the scary student protesters at Hind's Hall. Trust me, it's epic from the sit down at the conference table, to the kicking down doors to empty rooms, to the soundtrack. Yep, it is one for the history books, and has Eric Adams signature production style, over the top. ✌️😎🍀
Well…he likes baklava. A lot.
@Daviddecarte, Yes, he is pretty wealthy for a former cop and local governmen official. He had a very large and questionable donor base (corporate/wealthy people/Aipac & others. He is a corrupt politician. Several investigations surround him and his close advisors. NYC deserves better.

No one told Eric Adams Ghandi was racist towards Black people did they?
Or that is the only thing they told him
Gandhi was racist until 1925 which is expected from a British trained lawyer who educated in London..and Africans are xenophobic to Indians in Africa and Whites are Racist toward Indians in Africa….after 1925 he grows out of his racism and writes many articles and books and letters supporting African struggles against British and he actually promised mentor of Dr.King (at Gandhi home in India) that he will come to America and fight for the rights of American blacks after India gets its independence but assassinated immediately after independence….you just Google the office of Dr.King the photo frame behind Dr.king is of Gandhi…
He knows. That's why he became a cop
Finally another daily showography!
Once a cop, always a cop.
You can tell by his budget, blatant favoritism.
"The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others." - Ghandi
That man is no Ghandi 😂. Gives me Tiffany Heynard vibes. 👀 👀
Perhaps Adams should look at Ghandi's thoughts on policing too. Cuz Ghandi he ain't.
It's Gandhi... And it's spelled like that too. I'm not a US National, so maybe the "dhi" part is harder to spell for people with English as their mother tongue.

"The best way to suppress protesters is in the service of campaign donors." - Eric Adams
@@saintofall3653 The correct pronunciation requires a phoneme that doesn't exist in English, and most English-only speakers pronounce the name as if the H were not there at all. Nonetheless, when we attempt to type it, we know there is an H in there somewhere. Since a silent H following a G is extremely common in English, and DH rarely appears at all, this is a very common error.
Happy?

Thank you for playing Robert Schumann’s piano piece “Hasche-Mann,” the fourth piece in his Scenes from Childhood, Opus 15, written way back in 1838! (It starts at 2:27 in the video.) This piece is hard to translate (not to mention to play). Often the English title is “Blind Man’s Bluff,” but maybe “Catch Me If You Can” would be an idiomatic translation. Beautiful interpretation, too. Would love to find out who played it.

I haven't seen that one, but they did forget to add the PR video the NYPD made about prepping and taking out the scary, unarmed students protesters. If you haven't seen it, it's vote everything you'd expect of Adam's police department, donut boys at the conference table, epic drama, impressive gear, and tons of manpower to show those those students who's boss, with an appropriate soundtrack. As the migrant situation remains a prominent issue in New York City, Adams said he scheduled a stop at the facility outside Rome in order to learn about how Italy is handling its own influx of migrants.
Adams said he’s impressed with the way the Italian system quickly allows migrants to begin working, and teaches them basic Italian language skills.”

But I do have hope for New York. Adams' term ends in 19.5 months and maybe he will just fade away and live next door to Mark Wahlberg like he always wanted, and both their homes will be consumed in a chaparral wildfire.
