- This fully-functional, custom 3D printed Gerstlauer Infinity coaster featuring a vertical lift and 3 inversions took over 1 and a half years of free time to construct.
The layout, track, train and supports were designed with a combination of Blender, Fusion 360 and patience.
The track, train and supports were all printed using an Ultimaker 2 and Creality Ender 3.
Thank you to JackG for editing this video, and special thanks to the Makers in Residence at the Warwick University EBS, the Coaster Printing Central Discord, and Cheltenham Hackspace.
this something gerslauer would build
It's literally an infinity coaster lol
It’s gerstlauer
@@fadbob_ I think that’s why he said that 😱😱😱
Indeed an Infinity Coaster
Infinity coasters 👍👍👍
Crazy impressive!
fr
the fact that you are required to bolt the supports together, like you would a real coaster is just awesome
the assembly and everything is realistic to a real ride, and the supports actually have to support the coaster
you should film this in 120 fps and then slow the video down. will make it look so real this is awesome!
This build is honestly insane, and the fact that just by the thumbnail I could tell what coaster model it was supposed to be shows how incredibly detailed this is. Not sure how you managed to pull it off, but it looks crazy smooth as well. Epic!
That’s super cool. I definitely recommend setting playback speed to .25 to watch it. Scale roller coaster models always act weird because mass is reduced but gravity remains the same. Reducing playback speed sort of simulates the real thing
You can do this yourself from your computer. At the bottom of the video is a cog button for settings. In there is playback speed setting. Set it to 0.25 and enjoy :)
THIS IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, the layout, the colors, everything. Best pacing on a Gerstlauer ive ever seen!
still absolutely blown away by this almost a year later. amazing!!
What do you mean it was posted 5 days ago

This looks amazing and kind of reminds of smiler at Alton towers
That's awesome! I was hoping to see a full video for this!
It looks great! Reminds me a lot of the smiler and in general looks beautiful! Great job!
this is actually the same type of coaster model as the smiler! It's a gerstlauer infinity coaster :]

Oh my gosh this is absolutely incredible. Even the layout is impressive, well done!!
I agree. Well done!
the heart lining looks so good
I want to do this so much, but would never have the skill nor patience to do it. Absolutely Amazing!
It doesn't take long to learn a 3d modeling tool. I remember when I bought a modo license and a premium tutorial to go along with it, I was up and running for the most part in 3 days.
@@lastone032085 I should really look more into it, since it would be a great use of my printer. Don't really know where to start is the problem.
For me the space needed simply wouldn't be worth it - but if I had a huge warehouse I'd happily stick it in a corner.
Incredible! Great to see it finished and running, now you just gotta find space for the next one!
Wow this is so cool, definitely one of the best model coasters I've seen!
Hoow does this not have more views this is insanely good!

Sick coaster, looks so much like a real infinity coaster. This would be a super thrilling little ride if someone made it.
It looks so GOOD, it reminds me a bit The Smiler because of that drop and dive loop. Well done👍

Man that would be a very fun coaster to go on. To bad its not at a park. I would love to go on that roller coaster. I hope that someday someone buys it and puts it up so we can all have a fun and existing ride.
this is very cool it makes me want to design a coaster myself and make it in real life
I need a miniature camera placed on this for a first person view! So cool!

Bro this is better than most real roller coasters
gerstlauers aren’t the smoothest
Shut the front door and take my $$$. That is absolutely amazing!
This answers a question I have been asking myself ever since 3D printers have been around: "Is it possible to 3D print a rollercoaster?"
Now, I have my answer. =^/,..,^=
Getting the sub for that!
Can we get a tutorial on how to do this stuff? Because this looks awesome!
A tutorial would be awesome
@@ShadowForce271 Third! Would love any insight into the modeling.
W0W!!!! Want one!
Now this is incredible! By the way do you take suggestions for future 3d printings, because this is so cool!
Amazing! It would be cool I'd you were to recreate a roller coaster from a theme park such as 'the smiler' at alton towers cuz it is a gerslauer infinity coaster like the one you made!!
Cool. Make a big one and I want to ride. 😄
This is simply amazing. I wonder if it would be possible to make the speed more scale using some sort of flywheel to restrict the speed but maintain momentum to get round the track?
Very nice. Sharing on our Facebook page.
Wow, thanks for the share!
I love your models btw
Need to gopro this from the seats’ perspective.
This is awesome! How did you get your prints so clean and smooth? Surprised they stand up to the stresses, being so intricate.
