Just wanted to say thanks for the review. I was between this and the Hiby Digital but that seemed top much like a smartphone to me then an audio player. I feel this will make a good replacement for me Fiio m6 which has a rapidly deteriorating battery life.
Yep, this is a more focused music player than the M300. M300 is perfect for those who want to listen to music while doing other things hehe

I've not seen yet a review in which the youtuber gets to put the case on the Hiby R3 II.
And some of them say the knob is pressed when it is in your pocket and it turns on and off, which is quite concerning.
Hello Friend, Great Video!! I am considering to get an R3 II to replace my Shanling M0 Pro but I have 2 questions. When you browse the music files by folders, does the album songs appears in alphabetical order or in the order of the cd? And how does the R3 II perform as a bluetooth receiver compared to the shanling M0 Pro and something Like the Qudelix 5K? My main use for it as a bluetooth receiver would be to connect to my tvs and wach shows and movies with my headphones, My qudelix was amazing for this but the M0 pro does not work properly. I hope you can help me on this, Thank you very much
Hey man! Thanks for the support. Regarding your two questions,
1. When browsing songs by folders, it will be in order of the CD.
2. As a receiver, it does a perfectly fine job as I use this as my external BT DAC for my phone most of the time. It's not as good as dedicated dongles are, but they're much better than other DAPs in my experience

What is the database limit now? How many album? How many song?

I haven't reached the limit yet, but I've seen in forums that it can reach over 50,000 tracks

Is the volume knob supposed to be a bit wobbly? At least on mine it is 🤔

I have a question I have a budget of $200 which should I get the HIBY R3 II or HIBY R2 II + Thor iem
The R3 II is a more capable DAP compared to the R2 II, but the R2 + Thor is a pretty good deal. Go with the former if you already have an IEM, go with the later if you want the Thor IEM :)
Just got one brand new, unboxed ...doesn't work, flashing light and no start up. VERY disappointed.
Any good suggestion IEM for this R3 ?

If I install an sd card onto it , and I need to add a new song from my phone, how do i do it?
Do i need to remove the sd card yet again?
Or do i do it with the data cable?
Or wifi transfer?
All of the above are possible options when adding new songs :)
