It started off alright, but by the third season I had become disillusioned by the writing, especially in the character department. It's clear Marionette was the writer's favorite, which normally I wouldn't have minded if they didn't constantly nerf everone else in order to give her the spotlight.

Basically all of his attacks aside from one exception are blunt- the supervillains show up and make a big ruckus to get the hero’s attention and for over a hundred episodes, this either hasn’t worked, or the entire episode is erased at the end like it never happened

The show does pick up later, also apparently the magic disguise influences the senses to manipulate what each person sees and hears so the identities are revealed.
Except for the fact that in season 1&2 Alya could distinctively tell that adrien & cat noir looked very alike. And the fact that the MCs thought they would be recognized if they put on the fake costume.

Season 1 is fun, but it only starts to get interesting in season 2. Although, personally I love season 4 for the drama despite the flaws, although this can’t be true for everyone as it depends on one’s own taste.
The show’s writing is a mess. No one’s denying that, but it has a charm that drives people to it, children and adults alike.
The charm is dead when you realize it's just the creators fanfic of his youth.

They made Chloe bad again in the season 3 finale, and still try to make her bad in season 4. Zoe was just made to replace her. All of the episodes are formulaic, the plot barely ever moves forward.

In season 4, ladybug could made ANYTHING THING she wants with no limits, it did move the plot but it also makes a VERY BIG plot hole, why can't she make a shadowmoth tracker or a new planet, she has no limits, right? There's fricking time travel, so if ladybug and cat noir are going to lose for the first time, it's fine time travel will save them. The series has a goal to achieve, 3 seasons of the show have the same plot, season 4 is making progress but it's presented decently at least. I agree that that Lila could replace Chloe as the villain but that could of done that in season 3 and make Chloe good again
@Marinette it seems like you never watched it, when her dad got akumatized she was actually worried about him, she admitted that she has no friends and that she is useless. In despair bear, we can see her backstory, her mom was never there for her and her dad spoiled her to death. In that episode, people say that Chloe was being jerk for firing the servant but can we blame her? She was being mocked by him with her teddy. She is rude to people so her mom will like her, when Audrey said "the only acceptional thing about you my dear is your mother" if you didn't even a bit sad for Chloe, it either means one thing- you really hate Chloe to a whole new level or you're a heartless monster. She still could be redeemed, but she probably won't because of how much Thomas Astuc hates her. They are basically assassinating her character.
Ladybug being able to make a planet is just an exaggeration, but she could if she wanted to.
One more thing, they should have explained how the qwamis were created/formed in the show not in a comic. It is very important lore about why they exist.
Get ready to watch the most unorganized series of all time

I suppose a show for everyone wouldn't be too gimmicky towards girls, like, the main characters are girls, they're all designed to be cute, and their personalities are super friendly. I guess everyone can enjoy it but it seems to me that it's drawn way more to the girl spectrum than anything else.
The difference is that rwby was actually inconsistently kind of good at times, mlp didnt try to be good and then overstepped their lane, and miraculous tried to be both good and #deep and. Never achieved either of those things

I remember back when the biggest problem with this show was piecing together the chronology of season 1 (didn’t help that the origin episodes were produced in the middle of the series). Now we just have build ups to events that’s never happen or get reverted just to keep the status quo and the show going.
I hate this show, but enjoy watching every episode the day it comes out. It's a complicated relationship.

I used to like it, but it's a hard show to continue liking. Both the villain conflict and the will they won't they love rhombus drags on way longer than it should. Plus it doesn't help that Thomas is so detrimental towards his own show.

I got into the show during season 2 when they started introducing new heroes and powers. I think the concept of this show is awesome but the execution is bad. Season 3 was disappointing to me but season 4 shook up the status quo a bit so it piqued my interest again. The best thing about this show is the fanbase. There are talented artists, writers, animators, theorists... and it's just fun getting excited or angry over this show with other fans.
Miraculous was originally designed to be an anime and was planned to be darker, you can see it in the mannerisms and facial expressions.

Miraculous Ladybug is what happens when you take Persona 5, but don't develop any of the characters and turn the villians into complete jokes of themselves.
I think I'm the only one who watches this show since some of the characters have the same voice actors as the Danganronpa characters. For example, the voice actor who voices Adrian also voiced Nagito and Makato.

I've always been curious to watch this show but I've seen it get shit on constantly at every interval, so I've gotta ask. Is this show like RWBY where it has potential to be amazing but because of the writing progress, it just gets worse as time goes on or is it a dumpster fire from start to the current point?
I feel like it’s sort of like RWBY. The show really did have potential, but even in the first season, it wasn’t that great. Marinette isn’t a great protagonist. She was like a Mary Sue, she has a pretty great life, (her parents owning a famous bakery, being noticed by celebrities, having lots of friends to back her up, etc.) but after multiple seasons her character starts to degrade and get worse over time. She becomes extremely creepy with Adrien. She has records of his personal life, sneaks into his house, and is so obsessive to the point where you can’t even root for her anymore as a protag. She can be a jerk to her friends, and even as Ladybug, she said that she didn’t need Cat Noir’s help even though he’s literally her sidekick and has fought countless amounts of villains with him. The show is written so bad to where you don’t like the protagonist anymore, and you’re rooting for her “evil” rival (who is written MUCH better than Marinette, but according to Miraculous’s creator, an evil character has to stay evil, and he basically scrapped Chloe’s redemption arc and we’re back to square one with her character. ) A lot of the show’s problems stems from Marinette, so yeah… I’d say that it was a dumpster fire from start to end.
I would say it's the writing progressing but only if you watch Origins, then S2, and then S3 and S4. If you go through all of S1, you might see the dumpster fire peeking through

She has an uncle that’s the “Greatest Chef in the World,” she’s acknowledged by Chloe’s mom, she babysits the daughter of a famous news reporter, her parents own the best bakery in Paris, and is best friends with someone who runs a very popular blog. Don’t tell me that doesn’t sound boring to you. Female characters can have great lives and still be interesting if they have internal conflict that contrasts with their supportive lives. The only thing that Marinette struggles with is that she has so many responsibilities with trying to balance her superhero life and her normal life which isn’t even interesting at all. Do you even know what a Mary Sue is? Their background isn’t only one contributing factor that makes a Mary Sue. It’s the fact that Marinette can cause so many damn problems and somehow escape consequences, especially with how fucking mean she can be to her friends and how she obsesses over Adrien and no one bats an eye. She’s done a lot of bad things and everything somehow ends up okay again by the end of the episode. I’m not bashing Marinette just because of how perfect her life is. She’s incredibly boring and creepy, and it makes me mad that she can run away from her problems and no one cares. Her character just pales in comparison to Juleka and Chloe, who are much more interesting than her because they have interesting internal conflicts and motivations.
You're better off watching Precure, even if there's a team you don't enjoy there's always 15 more that you could always watch.

The reason the origin episode is number 15 instead of number 1 is because they wanted to keep the miraculous and where they come from a mystery.
