I got out of a lot of problems because they all knew who I was. Even saved a buddy of mine from getting a DUI cop gave me the keys and said he picked him up off the street being a drunk.

They're hoping you admit to something illegal, like speeding or not using your signal, or not stopping all the way at the last stop sign. That why they often say " do you realize how fast you were going"? Hoping you'll admit to speeding or say you don't know how fast you were going. Then they got you. I've only gotten 2 tickets in my 70+ years( been driving since 14. Have a nice day, be safe, and drive defensively !

They’re usually looking for drunks. That’s why whenever I get stopped after dark the first thing I do is turn on the dome lights. It allows both myself and the cop to see inside my car and helps reduce the blinding glare from his high beams bouncing off my rear view mirror. The side mirrors are a different story.

Moved from a front&back plate state to a one plate state. It was odd at first so I had an airbrush plate made to add. Come to find out....one plate states cars DO NOT come with front holes already drilled. 😒 Hung it on the garage wall.

I'm from NC and we went to Virginia once and drove around with my family. My mom (driver) got pulled over because we didn't have a front license plate. It wasn't even an hour into Virginia- that cop must've been crazy to not know that North Carolina doesn't require a front license plate. Our car doesn't even have a spot for one.
