So sick! When I saw Ivy for the first time, I was thinking that card is busted - but I didn't realize that this also works with Mutate! Totally overpowered :)
I remember playing ancestral mask many many years ago in paper, i was i think 10 or 11 years old and my brother gifted me a nice 100 card 5 color deck with a lot of enchantment value. I remember combing yawimaya enchantress with the mask making her so strong. Good days
I know right! Long time ago I made an all-common UG fliers deck with Ancestral Mask, Rancor and Unstable Mutation, and a bunch of small blue/green fliers (Rishadan Airship~). Seal of Strength and Seal of Removal to boost the Mask, push more damage and remove blockers. It could beat up a lot of rare-heavy decks!
How LVD handled that counterspell tribal last game was so beyond anything I considered. I’ve always hated counterspells but LVD’s strategies to counteract it is great to see!
I haven't seen a thumbnail that made me smile so much. Awesome deck and informative commentary that's helped me become a much better player. Keep up the great work!

Thanks for another great video, LVD, the synergies are insane! Yesterday I won a DMU draft with an Izzet cantrips deck, and Vesuvan Duplimancy had my friends read it twice to make sure it really copied the creature and not the spell. A strong effect with Balmor and other flyers with cantrip synergies.
In hindsight, should've countered that Tiamat. :P ahahahahah What a deck. Thanks for it. :) Keep up the great work man. These decks are completely bonkers/terrifying.
Oooh I never knew about mass entry on TCGPlayer (it looks like a huge timesaver though, which is nice), I'm gonna have to try that out the next time I build an EDH deck. Looking forward to the video and how you build this commander though!
I wish there were a ranked mode for playing Brawl. These decks seem really fun, but I'd rather get rewards and get matched against similar quality-level of decks
just built this as a commander one thing that is cool is clone spells cuz once you mutate on her you can clone with like a croaking counterpart and double your ivys
Wouldn't enchantments work that normally only would enchant a creature at first and than fight. Like Warbriar blessing? It only targets the second creature when it already entered and a double fight effect might be useful.
Sorry i have a question if i cast an aura spell on my creature X when i control Ivy gleeful spellthief and my opponente counter that aura spell i can create a copy of that aura spell on my Ivy or not?
Hey LegenVD, I have a question concerning your last video, the superfriends deck. I just built the deck and played over 10 games with it, granted am still a big noo b in plat with it, but was just wondering -> what do you do vs haste decks/fast decks that go wide? You have no board removal, wouldn't this deck benefit from one or two since your creatures are mostly tokens anyways? LIke I am having a hard time keeping board control early, because the deck is PRETTY damn slow! especially if you dont have a small creature to block early edit: yeah, it absolutely gets wrecked vs faster decks. How the hell do you deal with those? The deck is just super slow and you have almost no early game! I have built a few decks of yours, but honestly this is the first one that just feels off. It just doesn't seem to work consistently at all.
The deck simply isn't effective against hyper aggro decks. If mid-range or control ever make up the majority of the meta then this deck would be a good pick, but if you're constantly running into aggro decks you're better off switching to a deck with an entirely different gameplan. He talks about depopulate at the end of the video and why he didn't end up including it.
Like Andrew said it's optimized for grindy midrange games. If you're facing a lot of aggro definitely make room for Depopulate, and potentially even Farewell.
It's an option, although it feels a little clunky. With Double Major we get our copy right away without needing Ivy to survive in the meantime. But if your goal is to combo off with Ivy in as many ways as possible don't let me stop you!
It was in the deck for a while. Ended up being cut as it's a human that we can't mutate onto. Also a little pricey to activate, so played out pretty awkwardly.
Wait, mutate targets on cast now? Surely not (since if you attempt to mutate onto a creature that is removed in response, your mutate creature doesn't fizzle). More particularly, I tried making an Hinata mutate brawl deck, and was disappointed to learn Hinata didn't reduce the cost of my mutate ability, for (I assumed) this very reason. What gives?

Ivy is such a good commander card that gives mutate a well deserved revival and let you also build a pretty cheap brawl deck.

Did you consider Esika's Chariot? The mutate spell copies resolve as tokens just like the auras if they wind up on top
Could definitely be worthwhile, although the Alchemy nerf is unfortunate.
If you're playing this deck against Shrines, it's definitely worth trying to mulligan towards Ancestral Mask since it counts their enchantments too
