This one made me tear up a bit. The card is beautiful! My mom and I use to make cards together. We loved it. I miss her so much. Enjoy every second you have with your mom and treasure those moments. My mom passed in 2013. It is not often you hear how thankful people are for their parents. I would give anything to have mine back. Sending a big hug your way! Your mom is so lucky to have a daughter like you! I bet she will adore this card!!

Yes, Kelly, You and your mom have a beautiful relationship. Mine passed away a couple of years ago and I truly miss her, and my dad. Your work is always amazing. And a BIG CONGRATS on your selling your first stamp. I am so proud of you. You make beauty happen in our world in many more ways than you know.
Listening to you talk about your mom and how amazingly awesome she is, reminded me of my mom and how amazingly awesome she was. I was blessed with a mom who was so selfless and giving. She always saw the positive of everything in life, and she had the temper to match too lol! The neighbors who had either lost they mom, or had them far away called her momma or mama. We (her family) didn't know just how much she was loved in our neighborhood until we got home from the hospital the night she passed and there were neighbors waiting for us wanting to know how she was. It will be 11 years this coming May that she went home to the Lord and there isn't a day that I don't miss her. So, for all of us that don't have a mom, give your mom a hug and a kiss for us. Beautiful card too!
Beautiful coloring and cards. Such a great relationship with your mom. I had a wonderful, caring mother. I lost her a number of years ago. She was 90 when she died. I miss her everyday.
Thanks for sharing your admiration for your Mom. They need to know how much they are appreciated. My mom was truly one of my best friends. We lost her almost 5 years ago and I miss her every day.

What a fabulous card for your wonderful mom. I'm like you and don't really enjoy dealing with all the little fiddly die cut bits but your coloring really brought them to life. Absolutely beautiful card for your Mom. I got a little misty when you talked about your Mom and her supporting you. I lost my Mom in December of 21 and she used to gush over every card I made her. She saved each one and was my biggest champion. I used my circuit a lot but like you I took different die cuts and shade, colored and brought them to life. I haven’t been able to make a card since I lost her but have started itching to create again. I loved what you made and it made me want to pull out my layered dies. I think I will make a card and send to a friend of my Mother’s who knows how much she liked them. Maybe it will be a way of soothing us both at our loss. Thank you for sharing. Beautiful card, your mom will love it & probably cry. I lost my mom when I was pregnant with my son 30 years ago. There is no one like them, they can't be replaced. Because of her, I decided that if I could be 1/2 the mom she was, to my son, he would turn out well. Fast fwd 30 years, he is awesome, he is my greatest achievement in this life. I thank God many times over for the privilege of knowing, loving, & being influenced by & influencing them!!!
Happy birthday to your mom, the cards are so pretty. Love the pansy, mostly because lavender is one of my favorite colors given it's the close to the color of Feb's birthstone, Amethyst which is what your mom, Eric and I have in common. My birthday is tomorrow. The way you feel about your mom is the way I feel about my mom. In April it'll be 7 years since I lost her and although I know she's with my dad and they're watching over me, doesn't mean I don't miss them and wish the could be here for my 41st birthday.

I did some die cutting yesterday and was thinking of adding color to the pieces, like you did, except I was thinking about using my ink pads instead. Using my markers, for some reason, intimidates me! Lol I feel better about it now. Still daunting, but at least I might try it on this one I just did...

Damn it Kelly, you had me crying along with you. I wish my mum and dad were still around because I would do the same as you. I would go out of my way and comfort zone to make a special card for them. However, I have my two wonderful adult children and my wonderful partner that I now make very special cards for them. These dies are just beautiful and I love how you coloured them as they do make the flowers look so realistic. Also, never apologise for the length of your videos. Hi Kelly, love the techniques you show for coloring these layering dies. Thank you. I live in Northern California, and have always loved Pansies. They come in burgundy and yellow, burgundy and red, orange and burgundy along with the purple and yellow. I thought you would like to know to see if you might want to color some in those colors sometime.
