I love being a phlebotomist! Patients are everything to me. Although they are usually never happy to see you, you might surprise them with your skills. And they will remember you. They might even request you to draw them. Phlebotomy is a very rewarding job because trust me you will occasionally surprise yourself too.

What is the worst that has happened to you with a patient?
Great question! I have a couple of stories but the worst… I want to say when I poked myself with a "dirty needle". Basically the patient moved while drawing, and I poke myself as the needle pulled out unexpectedly. Scary! 🐝 careful 🐝 cautious 🐝 ready to lock that needle, always be ready... I definitely learned a big lesson after this one.
I am planning to take my exam 2023 Feb. I am a medical assistant and trying to go to lvn school in April. I want more certifications to become better. I work in speciality clinics currently. Thank you so much!
