On the flip side I think of some of these older guys involved with moving drugs from Mexico and dealing with construction and logistics that got so much money moving under the table with crooked people from the cities n such. Then use that money to buy into legitimate businesses and real estate and make even more money. Like some of these dudes in their 50s with big houses, land, newest F 250, wife, kids, and 2 or 3 girlfriends some half their age that throw big parties at their ranch every weekend. It just makes me think about maybe legitimacy is overrated lol

True. You have to be clever though...and you have to be quick, and subtle. you have to understand the culture, and be willing to travel.
you have to accept the reality of roughly ten years in the clink. it could all go wrong due to little more than bad luck.
You could do everything right, but that one Mexican kid pointing at you can bring down an entire operation.
The guy you pay on the side who works at customs? He might be home sick. NOW you get searched after declaring intent. It all goes wrong.
      Are you willing to gamble?

Ya fuck that spy shit. If I have to keep my wifi off because I don't trust using my employer's, forget it. I'll stick to manual labor. At least at the end of the day I can look at something I built (or destroyed) and feel some pride in it. When your boss is on the job with you grinding just like you are, it's harder to hate them too.

I really can't completely relate to this. They're talking about having great paying jobs that allow you to sit inside in air conditioning all day and having to work overtime 3 months of the year. Me, and tons of people I know work overtime year around for shit money with no bonuses, not even the 3% raise woody mentions. When I worked at a axle welding factory, I stood on my feet and mig welded axles for 12 hours a day, 6-7 days a week, only getting every other Sunday off for $17 an hour, and we never got shit for it. I would've killed for any of the corporate jobs he talks about. Life could be so much worse for them

I just spent last night from 7pm to 7am pushing a broom and mopping up a factory (only 3 of the 12 lines where running, for $17.70 an hour, still the new guy just waiting on my probationary period to end and I can join the steel workers union and will be getting $5 tacked on an hour but jesus it was a long fucking night lol can't believe they just didn't ask if I wanted a LOA would of took it.

When you put it like that, obviously your situation is very rough, they wouldn't know what that means though, cause they haven't had jobs like that.
You set your "lowest" bar from your life experiences so I can see how you can't relate, but I hope you also can understand how they can't relate either.

@@billbill9392 ive applied to 3 unions (steel workers, HVAC, and carpenters union) in the last year or so, and got an interview at HVAC, but never heard anything back. There was 3 other guys at the same time I was there interviewing for the same position so my chances were low. You get $17 to push a broom!? The janitors we had made like $14 but they had been there for 5-10 years. Unions really seem to be the way to go, especially here in the Midwest. I've heard that unions are very difficult to get into unless you know someone, and I'm definitely finding that to be the case. Hopefully my luck turns better soon.

@@zackhawn5944if you really don't know anyone in the union, find out what bar everyone hangs out in(usually closest to the hall or mill) after work and make friends. You'll get in in no time. And you'll have made a new friend!

Big difference between the laws for a company with a home system and their systems woodward. And the Camera is clearly to show you're actually doing the work entailed, and not acting like an ass clown to people or disconnecting with them etc. and blaming it on a dropped call or some other nonsense. And all sorts of other reasons.
If you don't want to be held accountable in such a matter, don't take a job from home. This whole argument is as stupid as the people who live in LA and complain about all their problems because they can't afford things. It's like, no shit. You chose that.
