Controlling a Govee smart plug with smart buttons

A quick introduction / setup and configuration of the Govee H5126 smart mini double button switch using Govee automation to turn a Govee smart switch on and off.

Hello can a button be double press or held for different actions?

@dwbranson2nd I don’t Believe so it seems to be just a single press action. With the alternative action the next time you press the button will reverse the first action.

When I attempt to do what you did it doesn’t allow me to set up actions. It says “there is no distributed gateway yet and the sensor cannot be added”

What devices are you using? How far apart are the devices?

@@WhisperingWildMarketFarm I'm having the same problem. I'm using GoveeLife Wireless Mini Smart 6 Button Sensor to try to turn on and off give lights. Everything is close together.

@@sproesser1 check your firmware on your devices. You can do this. Y going into each device and refreshing the device then going to the settings you should eventually get prompted . What gateway(s) do you have?
