in the intro text it says: "In 1998, after a decade of italo disco dominating...". I think it should be "In 1989..." no?

The music was very vibrant along with the upbeat late eighties Balearic Acid house culture Italian house music was for a young hedonistic crowd the music reminds me of the Ibiza scene it was cosmopolitan and it’s sound still sounds young and vibrant when you listen a proper Italian house track with piano strings with saxophones groove bass lines it’s awesome.I think us in uk turned it into cheesy euro pop as well as hard core kids becoming to obsessed with piano house hard core cheese but the originals we here great Lee marrow etc still love the sound of Axe corner Anita Adams etc but love the stuff that’s got a mellow child out feel to it reminds me of the Mediterranean Ibiza vibe to it when house was electronic soul music

Italo-House is sometimes House, sometimes Italo-Disco, sometimes Italo-Dance and some times post 1991 Euro-Techno. It has many diverse styles and amalgamated them to sound like House for marketing purposes and this was its greatest failure. Fortunately it co-developed with the Italian branch of Eurobeat. While the "house part" left Italy and went to England to be misleadingly called Italian-House. The real maestros stayed in Italy and evolved it to classic Italo-Dance and Hyper-Techno in order to carry, with Euro(Italo)beat, the Italo-Disco well in the 90s. They created timeless classics and shaped the music for a decade, (if you count Post 1998 Italo-dance, another unfortunate terminology, for 15 years ) they dominated for the second time the dance floor. But it was unique, if you throw away the House, you hear pure talent and an innovative sound. Money and marketing were poisonous to those pioneers. Also you cannot listen to it in isolation. You have to listen it with the other Italo-Disco experiments of the time, the House-HiNRG movement in the US between 1986-1990, Hip-House and Garage-House and post 1991 it should be listened in comparison to Euro-Techno and Hyper-Techno which carried a lot of its legacy. While 1993 was the time when classic Italo-Disco and Italo-House "died", they in reality were replaced. Many Nu-disco songs these days draw inspiration, and if you pay attention you may listen to early 80s Funky disco (Post-Disco) married with the euphoric piano sounds.
