No way. Youjo senki is one of my favorites animes and i never though you would cover the mod about it. I love the Hoi4 mod community so much for making this type of mods.
Same, but Mages are not really something HoI engine can do. They're either CAS or a Support Company (similar to attack helicopters from Cold War Iron Curtain), but making them special forces is a huge stretch. Also, Tanya is a Wing Commander, which is far below the rank of a General or a Minister, which means she wouldn't even be a character in HoI4.

@Hussein I actually watched a proper review and analysis of the game, and they apparently use some scummy tactics in, such as increasing the costs of packs over time for people who spend more. So we can safely assume they make a ton of money.
After you did the General Staff you could promote Tanya(Main Protagonist and your artillery advisor) as a General. And trust me she is very powerful wtih Mages. Also Mages are cool for encirclements since I think they ignore the terrain movement penalties
If I play it again I'll have to remember that.
Ayo Youjo Senki! Great Mod, Great Anime would recommend. - Especially for the movie that was amazing and has great music in the ending credits. - Also Tanya Degurechaff is the MC (8:06)
Also Mages can get Insanely good in this mod on their own because they go incredibly fast, Once I tried just giving myself a few 40W pure mages right off the bat and yeah, insanely good because they could just fly through "France" Easily, Honestly they may need a bit of a nerf, since whilst they are powerful in-universe, they were not a main unit because of numbers, so they could try do a limit on something where you can focus on mages via decision or something, which would allow more mages but limit your other type or something, because you can easily build a lot of mage equipment with a fully-built up empire with the "French" Industry along with it.

@@DShakey It's only 12 episodes and it's pretty damn great, the animation isn't the best in the actual anime but the ED and OP are really good, (and I would recommend listening to the German version of the ED by Selphius it is amazing) and then the animation is much better in the movie and it also has really good music, especially the final track-thing.
For Mages, i think they could be spawned with decision tree as Mages are rather rare resource of firepower. Especially since Tanya's battalion is the first of its kind while mages in the war are mainly used for reconnaissance. (which probably is a good idea to make Mage Recon support battalion)

Yo, I would recommend watching the show (it goes by both ‘Youjo Senki’ and ‘The Saga of Tanya The Evil’). It’s a really enjoyable watch, and the movie is nice touch as well.

Saga of Tanya the Evil is really good in terms of anime, but the manga and LN's are even better.

If you get bored on this mod you can always play as Vanilla countries by using conole commands and toolpack.
I would love to see a hoi4 mod with some kind of underground state, that controles only 1 or 2 provinces but has cores on many more and gets decisions to gain many off-map factories.
Maybe one day.

I just wanted to know if somethink like that already exists. So far, basegame Manchu anti-Japanese route is the closest I've seen to this idea.

The mod seems to have some work put into it, but the way the events play out feels odd to a Youjo Senki fan.
Like the world's version of a "Great War" begins after an illegal border crossing was performed by the Legadonian Federation/Alliance and later on the Francois Republic gets called into a war due to pacts and such.
Yet here you, the Empire, declares on the Francois Republic instead of fighting a defensive war.
It's like France declaring war on Germany in base HOI4, or Equestria declaring war on the Changelings.
Empire has option to decleare war on allies if leg do the norden border accident, either he didnt showed it or justified on france normally.^^
You know what's missing ? A youjo senki mod for Civilisation V or VI... This would be owesome...

am I just trash at hoi4 when I played it took me a couple years to take out France and I thought it didn't go too bad. is it the micromanaging that I need to work on or what cause when the war started France was immediately pushing hard and as well I never remember getting options to get land in Yugoslavia or demands on Italy

you cant use tanya is a general I think tanya if generel is powerfull because tanya is main carater of anime an he kill ber herself 1 tausend people in 1 shot
She is a generell. When you go with the Anime path, meaning Monarchie > Loyalty to the Military and Do the Expant Military staff you get her as an Advisor and when your at war with France you get her as an General.

Your first "fix" to the Mage Template is garbage. You gave them 24 HP and 14 Organization and lowered their speed to Infantry. Just look at how fast they lost strength during combat. Making them 7/2 was a little better with 50 HP and 20 Org, but they need Motorized more than they need Soft Attack. Mages are pretty similar to Armoured Cars or Light Tanks.
25% extra manpower would give you 50% more than you have (because 0.75/0.5 = 1.5), so it's a big deal, especially during a major war.
