Swiss No.10 is a real talent. Hope she bounces back
Yeah, she's lethal. Do you happen to know if the Swiss are looking good in the group stage.
Switzerland ' s number 10 is a very impressive player ,
Nevertheless Japan will be champions again
thegamesk no way they are going to get their ass whooped by germany
Super fast.
thegamesk They have to play a LOT better than they played today to have any chance to win.
thegamesk You mean an extremely egotistical player. She could have made three game winning passes but didn't. She's the reason Switzerland lost.
wow that run from 1:00 to 1:15 is stunning...!!
I wish we could get more highlights than just the goals. I'm a goalkeeper and I'd really like to see the big saves that are made too
Eric K There were literally no good saves in this game
AC Me Rolling True for this game but I mean in general. I know there were some good saves in the USA - AUSTRALIA game that I would love to see as an example
That Bachmann's run would be the greatest goal in HIStory!! :( It looks like Maradona's run at Mexico '86.
I really love the Japan team. I'm from the United States and I want them to win too... but for some reason I I'd be more sad to see Japan lose then the USA. Also Yuki Ogimi is really pretty she has changed since the last World Cup
SupaKawazu I know right!
That's number ten from Switzerland is beast
Ramona BACHMANN (SUI#10) was really impressive. I watched the match for supporting the Nadeshiko, but I thought Bachmann should be the player of the match---too bad she didn't score. Miyama created a lot of good opportunities for her teammates, but their finishes were all disappointed...I hope Japan's attackers will get warmed up for the tournament soon. They shouldn't just win a single penalty like today. (Especially when they're in group C not group D. ) But their defense is still reliable. Good to see Yamane on this stage.
I feel bad for Switzerland. They lost on a penalty that shouldn't have been, totally dominated the second half (Ramona Bachmann is a beast). Too bad they cannot shoot if their life depended on it. So many opportunities today, and almost all shots over the crossbar (some way over). No amount of hard work will win the game if you do not finish.
mountainhobo I often criticise penalties but the goalkeeper went into the attacker with far too much contact. A penalty if ever I saw one. This from a total neutral. Best side won. Well done Japan.
RayCee Smith A draw would have been a fair result, in my opinion. I agree that Japan is a better team, but on the day, I think, it was pretty even. But, unlike you, I'm not neutral ^^
RayCee Smith I disagree. The goalkeeper defended the ball away and the physical contact was inevitable. I'm also a neutral.
RayCee Smith "A penalty if ever I saw one." -- Goalkeeper made contact with the ball before the collision. There was no penalty.
mountainhobo Disagree as well, if you take a look at 0:23 you can clearly the Swiss goalkeeper has launched herself at the player knees up more than any logical angle to get the ball.
I'm loving the Japan/USA rivalry going on since the last World Cup and the Olympics.
And the rivalry carries on in this year's final as well! ☺
That Swiss no. 10 is phenomenal
The PK was a correct call. According to the media, the Japanese FW, Ando, who collided with the Swiss GK at the scene, is found to have her fibula broken. She is now on her way back to Japan to undergo a surgery. Because of this injury, her third (and probably last) WC is abruptly terminated at this unexpectedly early stage. Considering the amount of time and effort she has dedicated to this tournament, my heart goes out to her. This accident has added another meaning to Japan's pursuit of victory. With one key player down, they now have a stronger reason to win this tournament. I am sure that unyielding Nadeshiko will play even harder from the next game on in order not to waste their teammate's sacrifice. Despite their physical disadvantages (e.g., height, speed, and power), they beat mighty Germany and die-hard USA in the last WC. Nobody should underestimate them because they have the toughest and most mature mentality as a national team.
ujiokatsumoto sorry i dont agree it was a bad hit that's a 50-50 ball and the keeper save the ball and could not move away only in women football you will see a ref call a penalty on that play because it was definitely not a penalty well that's my opinion and prob everybody else that have a little knowledge of football
nit because one of them is injured means they didn't make the foul. That was a bad call in my opinion.Thalmann was going for the ball and there was no way of her stopping mid air as well as the japanese player
@@zintek123 You don't save he ball by launching yourself feet first at an attacking player. She should've got a straight red for that.
Bad call then, bad call now
From the 3 swiss national TV's (french, german and italian speaking ones) 2 from the 3, said it was a clear penalty. Along with the swiss-german commentator was a female goalkeeper. She even said that Thalmann was "lucky" to get a yellow. She did take the ball, but it was very dangerous.
I thank you who told a neutral opinion and a Swiss commentator. That's the reason that we always respect swiss people. Before WC was begun, Japan's FW Ogimi spoke to a reporter. "The team which is a most powerful enemy is Switzerland in all teams, and the most dangerous player should be Bachman. Before they'll get well prepared mentally, we meet them as the first match, so we're lucky." (She means that WC's the very first game is under the high pressure which is advantage for Japan.) It's clear by an interview that Japan met with a game with fear and respect for Bachman with Switzerland. It was possible to win by good luck, but our important FW was lost by an injury.
Yes I feel sorry for her. Hope she will recover fast and be back for next season !
Good job Japan and Switzerland!
I'm Japan supporters, but Bachmann of Switzerland is great!
I was surprised to watch
How do you think the defending champions Japan look in their first match?
FIFATV damn Japan ...I was roting for Switz
FIFATV It looks like they need some work.Bachmann drove them up the wall.If She caught any luck of the bouncethe Swiss would have won this 3-1!They are on turf this time out.Fast players will be even faster.
Doc Maston i agree
toyohawaii i miss Hanae Shibata? she is a great Player!!!
John Stromboly
Disgusting penalty decision, keeper spreads big and gets the ball. I hope that ref is stood down for that.
Wtf? It was a penalty and it should be a red card.
#10 on Swiss team has A LOT of potential
Ando's broken ankle has already shown its impact on the team. She's their most aggressive and creative forward.
Great Bachmann play...can't wait to see Cameroun vs Switzerland
The referee is kidding? No penalty for Japan.
That Switzerland #10 though...holy shit. Amazing skill, just couldn't finish the plays.
Exciting Game
Great win for Japan *
Que bien juega la 10 de Suiza!!
Love the music in the end
I love the Swiss number 10 unbelievable, so hot aswell.
That was just great sport.
Woow, it was a tough match...
Next match for the Nadeshiko Japan, is against Cameroon, which scored 6 X 0 against Ecuador, also today...
So, Japan X Cameroon match will be very exciting to match...
Its funny how in both women and men wc the champions don't start as good . But Japan's penalty got them a win . Good luck japan.
BEAUTIFUL, ATTRACTIVE AND POWERFUL GAME, SOME ONCE IS EXTRAORDINARY AND SOME ONCE IS SUPER ENERGY FULL EXTRAORDINARY PLAYED........
ON THE HOL WINER IS WINER.......
Bachmann is Switzerland's best player by a mile. She created more or less all of their chances and cut through the entire Japanese defence, which is no mean feat
Swiss No.10 (Bachmann) is a very impressive player, she has talent to be on the USA women’s team, and would probably be on of the best strikers alongside Alex Morgan! Great match from both sides!
1:00 sick!!!
Who else is going to watch the USA vs Japan finals in Vancouver???
in the team Switzerland n.10 is a super star!!!!
Switzerland proved to be a great team, he did not deserve the defeat and if he won it would have been right.
Does anyone think that Japan's goalie this game reminds you of Lee Kwang Soo from Running Man?
Good japan
from...thailand ^_^
Can you show what minute each highlight is 5aking place at? Other than that these are great
Good Japan
after 4 years, japan just got aged without any influx of young player. i would surprise if the team can make it into best 4.
Iwabuchi. Kumagai. Ariyoshi. Sameshima. Utsugi. Sugasawa. Sakaguchi. Nagasato. All were 'younger' players.
both teams are good but Japan is better. yes!!! gambare nadeshiko~!!! :D
Chris E Sorry But Switzerland Played Alot Better This Game And They Should ve one but I am Neutral
15 shots with 3 on target? Yikes!
No-controversial PKs are not controversial. This says a lot about those controversial PKs.
Yuki ogimi
know why japan is always good? they actually have a good organised defence
Awsome Attendance
Women Soccer on the Raise
They need to get better referees...
This is true the cameroun game was bad officiated too
Potahoe69 The Mexico/Colombia game was brutal.
It is normal for strong teams (in Japan's case, defending champs) to make cautious starts. At least they are better than defending champs Spain in men's world cup 2014 which disgraced themselves and crashed out in the group stages. Don't be too quick to judge.
If it wasn't turf I would think she stays up and the Swiss get an equalizer at 1:11
bluecrayon 32 probably, the cleats would of sunk in on real turf, but the way she stopped might of been problematic on the legs/knees.
Tasche CJK it is just unfortunate because the women's game is just as exciting and they should get the same treatment the men get
bluecrayon 32 you slide more on real grass. astroturf lets you plant down very very hard to stop. the reason they didnt want is injuries not traction.
BeefLettuceAndPotato From my experiecnes turf is not helpful in anyway for soccer. It should not be played on at all on turf.
Coleção Olandeza
That was so not a penalty.. Keeper got in contact with the ball first.
***** why the exaggeration? no one got kicked or had their ankle broken. They both went for the ball and collided; it happens in football. if anything, the swiss team should've been awarded a free kick. this happens all the time in the world's top football leagues.
SupaKawazu no; i'm just more familiar with football rules.
kamehamehadouken9
clearly you don't know much at all about football.
SupaKawazu coming from someone who supports a team that has completely collapsed this season :p
+SupaKawazu lol you clearly dont know a penalty when you see one. That was an awful call
💙japan
Swiss # 10 is very talented, but has to learn to play with teamates. Japan won because her ego. Both teams are good. Japan has slow start in the tournament. This world Cup is diferent from the last one. There are more strong teams than the previous cup. Good luck to both teams, but, of course I go for Japan.
how can first goal be a penalty? keeper got a touch to it.. if she didn't touch the ball.. yeah it is a penalty.
Aller la Suisse vous pouvez le faire ;)
Japan :the only team playing with a goalkeeper
I expected more from japan. i though the swiss ladies outperformed the nadeshiko. swiss at least deserved a draw but the finishing wasn't there...
I think it's fair to say Japan deserved a penalty, simply it was indeed dangerous and the attacker Ando fractured her ankle, requiring a medical operation, not able to come back to this tournament.
But at the same time, good luck on Swiss team, with astonishingly talented player Bachmann, I'm sure they will come back stronger.
It'd one thing to get the ball and some player, but thid case was completely different. She went and got a LOT of player and just barely got a hand on the ball. Also, she is endangering the safety of the attacker with the reckless dive
liverman112 Well said
Horrible call from the ref smh
1:05 8 equal to Neimar.
Japan winning ALL the time
Japan made too many mistakes to pass a ball to the Swiss team.
I seemed that they practiced the defense in the game.
Japan will win it again!
What the... that's not a penalty. ABSOLUTELY NOT A PENALTY. There was a shot, there was a save. That's it. What should the Swiss goalkeeper have done? Disappear in mid-air? Not to mention that some referees would have called a foul AGAINST Japan instead.
Unbelievable! How can you call that a penalty ref?
The reffing... Is horrendous! IDK if it's because of female refs, but, OMG!! :((
The SUI - ECU game (currently on Eurosport, live), after 5-0 came a HARD foul by ECU, followed by a penalty for SUI a little later... Followed by a (semi-fake) penalty for ECU.
ECU taking advantage of SUI rougher play, after ECU started fouling from feeling helpless after those goals at the start of the second half & the ref doing NOTHING to anticipate the inevitable and very little to defuse it.
This isn't a local tournament, this is the World Cup. Where is the experience, refs?!??
*Edit*: By the end of the game, someone might get SERIOUSLY hurt if nothing is done (and I can see NOTHING being done by the refs).
Damn Japan's goalie #21 is huuuuuuuuuuuugge and I mean huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge
Pretty sure she's over 6ft tall...
swiss #10 is Ramona BACHMANN
Айпдшфп.!!!ХДЗ!!!
That was not a penalty , bad call from the referee ..
Kozue Ando, her WC has not ended. She is still in the team as
white bear wearing her uniform As the super power having substitute.
m.fifa.com/womensworldcup/photos/galleries/y=2015/m=6/gallery=canada-2015-ecuador-japan-2649654.html#2649816
111!
!!!!!!
Рощ
OMG Bachmann, please marry me! Damn. You're an incredible player
A powerful player indeed!
"That's not a penalty, bla bla bla"
It's called, dangerous, reckless play
.
A penalty any day of the week, unless you're a Swiss or a biased person.
Or you don't know the rules.
Simples.
hopp schwiz
Good job Japan🇯🇵
Go Japan Go‼︎
日本頑張れ〜*\(^o^)/*
フレーフレー🎌
MASAHICO kunn undou Kai iku no?
4444?!
Кдвіфат. 2-Е
Sorry but that wasn't a penalty.
I agree it was a yellow card for the goal keeper not red cuz she hit the ball 1st not the player......
Пи. Жіжйжсд !!
Não foi pênalti, a goleira foi na bola. Arbitragem do feminino tão ruim quanto a do masculino
Big chest cannot out-run the flat chest women!
:D
For what I've seen so far, the feminine defenders and goalkeepers are terrible! The forwards instead, there seem to be a few which are good indeed.
0:24 That's never a penalty 🤨 and then VAR appeared, cause referees were doing terrible 🤦🏻♂️
