- Blayke and the Quints First Day of school this year brings new challenges to our family. Blayke going to 3rd grade feel so old! Deciding to move Riley a year ahead and all of the challenges that will create. Come along with us!

I love how that spend the time reassuring each girl in a way unique to them. He told riri to be excited, and he told Parker to be safe and that it's ok she's been here before. It's amazing to me how they do it!!

EmilyNxchole Actually it’s honestly even sweeter than that; he told Parker that she IS safe, which is such a great thing to tell a child who has anxiety. It’s wonderful that they are truly taking their time with Parker and giving her and little more specialized attention and words of affirmation.
Leaher I agree. She did look like she was worried, and it’s so great that they realise that and reassure her.

Leaher yeah I noticed he said that,my sons 4 he has a similar personality and I thought that was perfect what he said to her.
Can we just stop and give Adam a huge amount of credit. You can really tell how much he’s come on since his post Partum depression and how much it shows in the way he talks, acts etc. We’re all so proud of you! You’ve come so far and are such an inspiration!!!

I think a lot of times women want babies and the man goes a long with a fertility mess and ends up with this. I doubt he was really all that on board.

TheOwlCreek I had a dad like Adam. He passed away last April, but at least I have rich memories of him. My dad was my world when I was a little girl and as I got older, I needed my mom more. I was lucky to have great parents like the Busbys are for their girls.
I have a dad like the girls. I'm also an identical twin. He has always been my go-to person in my life...even as an adult. (Nothing against my mom.)

God definatly got the order of these little ladies right!! Blayke is an exceptional big sister. She's patient and kind to her sisters. Most impressive is how Danielle and Adam have given her the tools needed to speak up when she is either bothered by something or feels the need for one on one time. That takes an extraordinary brave and confident little lady. I LoVe when Riley breaks down her siblings and she puts herself in the same "category/maturity level" as big sister Blayke. You can see she is very patient with Riley by not correcting her on just where she falls in the pecking order!!😉🥰 What a special girl, what a special family!!

Carmencita Davis I was watching the NICU video of the quints, and Danielle referred to Hazel as her squished baby. Poor Hazel was not given a lot of room in the womb. I wonder if that might be what ultimately affected her eyes.

Aww, Riley telling her dad, “I want you to hold me” and sounding scared just goes to show that we all have our moments of insecurity. She’s so sweet & pretty (and confident) that I predict she’ll sail through the year, but what a nice moment that was shared here.
Yeah I felt that she was a little nervous but I felt also that Riley was mostly tired and wanted to be carried upstairs
Adam needs to stop telling Riley she’s so smart not nice and it will separate from her sisters and cause trouble.down the road ,so stop telling her . She is listening so do not cause trouble with her sisters.
Clarerolande Lefave that might ruin her confidence so no he shouldn’t stop. Approval from parents is what drives kids at that age.

When Adam was hugging and kissing the girls and sending them of to school really made me cry. I love the Busby family, there is just something about them that makes me appreciate the times my dad is home.

I used to talk in complete sentences when I was 3 years old. When people told me to smile for pictures, I used to say, "There's no reason to smile. It's stupid." Lol, I was way too matured for my age then I went crazy in high school. Got it together in University. Smarter kids bring more trouble.

The beauty of going to school in Australia is that we had mandatory uniforms so thankfully, my questionable outfits were saved for the weekends. 😂 Polkadot t-shirt with a knee length brown skirt and tracksuit pants underneath. It was a look.

Not gonna lie, this vlog is actually better then the show...you are really good at what your doing Adam. The footage is amazing, and to actually see what’s really going on and not be EXTREMELY edited and so much stuff cut out is amazing! Really enjoyed watching the van ride, and watching Blayke y’all about shaving cream!!! This was awesome!
I agree this is better than the show and is much more in depth even the lighting is more natural then seeing it on TLC. Very nice of Adam and Daniel to gives viewers a glimpse into the Busby aka Buzz World!!😎❤👍
there is only one advantage of the show cuz they put subtitles on quints speech, sometimes it's hard for me to understand children's speeches as english is not my mother tongue
H Y that is true, I have a 4 and 2 year old so I’m pretty good with toddler language lol, but I ALWAYS use captions cause it’s just helpful so I get your point there for sure.

Some people are saying that Adam and Danielle caused Parker's anxiety by picking her up when ever she started crying but that would be separation anxiety not social anxiety.

Usually really smart girls are not so popular in school...nor do they care if they are because they are focused on being the best person possible and achieving goals...hopefully she will just be herself and her friendships will be positive and genuine. (My thoughts from personal experience and being a child counselor for 25 years).

As someone with anxiety, I feel for Parker. You can see the monster hiding her beautiful personality. Hope she lives a great life ❤️

Same! It took me a while to admit to myself that I could no longer control my anxiety on my own. Once I started medication it became so much easier. I still have some struggles, but it has been better. Thankfully Adam and Danielle are aware of it, so they can help her get through.
Had it when I was younger still have it but I can hide it well if I'm talking about or doing something I like.

It will be interesting to see if Riley goes to 1st grade next year or kindergarten again.
Amy McGrath I think that the private school they’re in (and Blayke went to as well) gives kids a top-of-the-line education. Adam said that Riley was going to be in advanced kindergarten, the the other girls would be in advanced Pre-K. It will be very interesting to see what they all learn this year.
I have a pretty good feeling she will be ready for 1st grade.
I I She also seems to have the social skills too which will help if she skips a grade or two. My parents opted to not let my older sister skip because they were concerned about her social development. My cousin skipped two grades but was lacking in social skills so it hurt him. I think Riley will have no problem skipping. She seems to make friends easily. ☺️

Their mother dresses all of her girls so cute. Mother knows fashion and style. Kardashians take notes. I love this show! My have they've grown. 5 years old. Wow!!

Bertha Isabel she tested rlly high on a test and passed through it so she qualified for kindergarten
Bertha Isabel All the girls were tested and Riley scored off the charts. So they gave her another test, and she blew through that, too. To put her in Pre-K with her sisters would be having her repeat what she already knows. She qualified for advanced kindergarten at the private school, where her sisters will be in Pre-K.

I think Riley is actually more gifted than bright as she doesn't have to work for the answers she gets on stuff, she just knows.
Elizabeth Krabbenhoft She is gifted, but that doesn’t mean she won’t have her challenges now, in a new environment, away from her sisters. She is going to need a lot of reassurance that she is capable of learning, not just “smart.” If that’s all she’s been hearing, she’ll feel like a failure if she can’t measure up to the other kids.
@@patriciabilinkas3911 I never said Riley would not have challenges. I am like her too, I struggle daily with being "smart". It especially hurts to get reminded so often that I was just born this way and didn't work for any of my grades or classes. Last year I actually started failing because the material was too easy and I just wasn't doing the work. But they bumped me up to Algebra 2 while I was in 7th grade which in our city is a 3rd year high school class, and that was better. So I understand everything Riley is going through.
Elizabeth Krabbenhoft That is wonderful that your program is meeting your needs. I taught gifted and talented kids but was really careful not to throw the s word in their faces because they hated it. Coming to my class actually allowed them to relax. Good luck in school this year.
The way Danielle is with Riley starting at 9:05... as much as that little girl pushes her buttons, I can see how much she truly loves Riley, regardless. For some reason that particular goodbye moment stood out most in ways I can not even express.

CJ R. Danielle and Adam decided to move her away from Hazel and Parker because none of the three got any sleep. Now even Riley sleeps through the night.

Because Riley & Parker would have been the logical choices to put together as they are BOTH early risers, whereas Danielle said that Hazel kept the other 2 awake all night with her 'chitter-chattering' (making Hazel the late riser), and if you check Danielle's "things about Hazel" on her blog, Hazel says her biggest pet peeve is that Parker gets up early, turns on the light, and wakes her up every morning (a good explanation for why Hazel seems so sleepy in recent vlogs?) I suspect Riley being the presumed troublemaker, esp with Dad having said she 'terrorized' Hazel, was why she was excluded. AND, I think they didn't want to make Hazel 'odd one out' YET AGAIN, so Parker was 'volunteered' to keep her company. Mom recently said that Parker takes care of Hazel, treating her like 'her baby', so there is THAT against how Riri & PK are quint besties!

hi, just a little advice I’ve read about someone did a study on kids (I don’t remember the name exactly) they took 2 groups of little kids group 1 told them that they’re soo smart
the other group told them how hardworking they are.
they found that group 1 gravitated towards the easier task rather than the hard ones and believed that being smart is actually and exterior factor that no one can really manipulate which led them to grow up believing that they are just smart and when they can’t do the harder tasks they’ll get more depressed.
group 2 was told that they are hard working which led them to keep going even if it was harder for them, so when they got to the real life they would still keep working and not give up. those kids were generally more happier in life.

A.J. Annie I’m a retired teacher and have read something like this. I have to agree. It doesn’t necessarily reassure kids that they’ll succeed because they are smart. Better to reassure them they can do what they put their minds to because doing new things is good for their brains.
It’s growth mindset and fixed mindset, you want to praise them for effort and hard work so that they will believe they can keep working even when something is hard, if they are praised for being smart they might not want to try hard stuff because they don’t want to appear to not be smart and it will make them afraid of failure.

I don't like the fact that Adam keeps repeating to Riley again and again how smart she is. Even in front of her sisters and nothing is said about the others being smart too. He is just reinforcing a disparity amongst them that will make Riley feel superior in comparison to her sisters when she grows up and that's not healthy for any of these little ones

I love all the girls but I really love PK. I really think she is mature for her age like Blayke and very intensely smart that is why she is shy since she thinks and analyze beyond. I think she is a late bloomer in expressing herself but has the highest IQ though all of them are intelligent and talented and beautiful on their own ways. All girls really are very unique and a stand out on their own way. Love them 💖👑✨🌷
