Sam Blew my Highschool out in the Playoffs in 2015, the year after I graduated. If you do a little research, Sam went to the same HS , Drew Brees, and Nick Foles came out of In Austin, they have a great program down here in TX, and they just won a 6A championship title as well. I’m excited to see what he does at the next level, we all know where you get drafted doesn’t matter it’s how you play when given the opportunity, and I promise this kid is a winner. Colts Fans should be excited, it’s something about them Austin Boys and winning ball games. Ask Drew and Nick, they both have rings, and this kid will have one to.

Yeah people don't know what to look for. Sam is a leader that leads by example as well, never gets overwhelmed by the moment and is not afraid to take a hit in the pocket.
Eason hasn’t had anytime to show his skill set because of the pandemic. There hasn’t been a preseason for him to get his feet wet. But, I’m diggin this pick. We gotta quality backup QB
And you have to realize, in 90% of this highlight real, he was playing hurt. His junior year he was more accurate. 2020 he was pretty banged up. He is an extremely tough dude. If you look at his college stats, he put up Russel Wilson numbers. I see no reason he can't be a Russel Wilson in the pros too.

Watching this again after the announcement about Ehlinger being the starting qb. I think he should be perfect for the RPO offense that Frank wants to run mainly due to his mobility. Currently, I am being cautiously optimistic about his start against the Commanders. Hopefully, we won't see anymore of the scoreless first quarters or second halfs. Its true that Matt Ryan led that 3 comeback drives with a below avg offensive line. But the offense was scoreless with him at qb in first quarter and first half and the offense is bottom ranked in the league. Hopefully, we will see a more explosive offense with Ehlinger at qb.
Well these are just highlights so you can’t get a complete scouting report on just his best plays. But still he plays really well. I truly believe he can develop into an NFL passer

That's what folks said about Mahomes too. Now Ehlinger has nowhere near the arm talent that Mahomes does, but there's a good track record for super talented QB's who sometimes tried to be superman and put the team on their back in college toning that down and being great in the NFL.

I love this kids motor but he stares down his targets from the snap. If his first read isn’t there, he doesn’t dump it off, he runs and that could be an issue against NFL defenses
Colts fan here I hope Frank does the right thing and lets Carson Wentz rest bc his ankles are hurt. And plays Sam. It’d be great to see what he can do and with our whole team finally being healthy besides Wentz and one o line men I’m sure we will beat the Raiders. Only two more games til playoffs and I’m not sure how it’ll work out but for us to 100% make playoffs we need to win our next 2 we are in as of rn but anything can happen. We have the best RB in the league Jonathan Taylor (MVP candidate) and the best RB trio in the league we are also getting back two pro bowlers this week our TE Jack Doyle and center Ryan Kelly so I think we’ll be fine and beat the Raiders easily with Sam starting and letting our starter Carson Wentz sit out this week if not the next two bc our game after the Raiders will be Jacksonville Jaguars and they’re shit but they’re in are division. Hope Sam gets to play Sunday in his first regular season start and can play great and get us the dub!
Keep in mind this is my opinion but i’m not sure if he QB style really thrives in the Nfl. Short QBs that also run a lot result in injury. NFL likes to have big tall qb’s but time will tell

I see Sean Peyton wanting to take this guy considering he can make a lot of those tough throws like Drew could during his career. Hell of run game too considering they could then run option plays with Kamara and not even have to look at Taysom Hill. I mean even if you got him on the field as a second string in some goal line packages.

Colts fan here I hope Frank does the right thing and lets Carson Wentz rest bc his ankles are hurt. And plays Sam. It’d be great to see what he can do and with our whole team finally being healthy besides Wentz and one o line men I’m sure we will beat the Raiders. Only two more games til playoffs and I’m not sure how it’ll work out but for us to 100% make playoffs we need to win our next 2 we are in as of rn but anything can happen. We have the best RB in the league Jonathan Taylor (MVP candidate) and the best RB trio in the league we are also getting back two pro bowlers this week our TE Jack Doyle and center Ryan Kelly so I think we’ll be fine and beat the Raiders easily with Sam starting and letting our starter Carson Wentz sit out this week if not the next two bc our game after the Raiders will be Jacksonville Jaguars and they’re shit but they’re in are division. Hope Sam gets to play Sunday in his first regular season start and can play great and get us the dub!

Keep in mind this is my opinion but i’m not sure if he QB style really thrives in the Nfl. Short QBs that also run a lot result in injury. NFL likes to have big tall qb’s but time will tell
I’m here on August 10th watching highlights because as a Colts fan I’m not convinced Eason is the number 1 backup. I keep hearing g how good Sam looks in training camp.

I see Sean Peyton wanting to take this guy considering he can make a lot of those tough throws like Drew could during his career. Hell of run game too considering they could then run option plays with Kamara and not even have to look at Taysom Hill. Very excited about the new look colts and I think open the playbook up week one first play throw a bomb go long let him know what it is show them what this kids all about and let him show his wheels off like that's a trick in the NFL if you got a third down and you can split the linebackers and get their backs turned you got to guarantee first down I just seen it Time after Time with Lamar Jackson and Justin Fields running quarterbacks get first downs on third Downs when their linebackers and safeties backs are turned they sneak and get the yardage it's so effective in football and Sam can do it watch not a big Texas fan other than Jamaal Charles and Vince Young and some other cats to come and go but I love what this kid brings there's a reason he's number two we've kept him and his kids going to do it for us he's going to save our season and get us in the playoffs I just guarantee it I know it I feel it and I will put my money where my mouth is and post the gambling slip.
