The problem is, while gm made a ton of thirdgen F-bodies. The thirdgen, (and to a lesser extent, fourthgen) cars are getting rare. A lot of people don't care for their styling, the mullet-mobile stereotype, and their anemic engines. As the proud owner of 4 thirdgen, and one Fourthgen, I disagree with those people. But take heart, eventually they will truly reach collector car status. I've noticed the prices on thirdgens appears to be going up, so we may not have to wait very long.

@@wisedevolver2741 I agree. Selfishly, I've been keeping my mouth shut about 3rd gen f-bodies until I get my hands on one. Watching other cars that used to get laughed at like the 3rd gen Supra jump in value has taught me a lesson about sleeping on getting unpopular platforms.

I've had mine for 11 years and I let it go sort of since it was my first car. But the money pit has started and I'm doing a nut and bolt restoration on it, learning as I go.

Third gen content on your page is my main go to especially when I’m about to start a swap on my own 87 Camaro. Love the Tahoe as well but I’ll drop what Im doing when your third gen content comes out. Really interested to see the fuel system and exactly how you’re going to run it. Good work as always!

This gives motivation to get a third gen, I appreciate the fact you always hold things to that high level of fit and finish. I've learned a lot watching the simplest steps you've completed. Stuff that applies well to any swap. Keep it going! Seems like it's hard to find a 3rd gen TA with actual fender vents of all things1!!1!

Remember to switch your leads (+/-) on the welder when switching to Flux core... you won't get as much slag/spatter. There should be a label in your welder showing where to attach the ground when using Flux core.

The reason have been a follower for so long is because of the third gen content. You get into big, in depth projects on the F-Bodies. It's a great opportunity to learn the high end stuff. I always prioritize watching LSXMatt videos. I like all of your projects. I'd like to get updates on your Camaro and how it does at the drag strip. I'm an old hot rodder so I like watching your solutions to challenges as they develop during engine swaps like what you've done with the Firebird and Camaro. Many of the Tahoe videos are like product reviews with installation tips and tricks. Nothing wrong with that. I like the Tahoe. I also like seeing how you upgrade your Tahoe using newer model year parts. So here's what I'd like to see in your upcoming videos. All the content you're currently showing with the Tahoe but throw in a couple minutes of Camaro content. I'd personally like a whole video of the Camaro again but would settle for a few Camaro updates once in a while. The Camaro is what brought me to your channel. I would like more Firebird content as well for reasons previously stated. I've built a few sleepers in the past myself.😀

Looks great Matt, enjoyed your thirdgen update. Pinion angle: Lengthening the lower arms will only lengthen the wheelbase, it will not change the pinion angle. The torque arm is a triangle: 2 mounting points on the axle & 1 on the transmission. If you dont' change the length of one of it's chords it will not ALLOW a change in pinion angle - (by design - discounting bushing deflection).

maybe i'm not right but let me elaborate on what i was hoping to learn as i have a feeling this series will end once that trans-am trundles out the garage :) i was hoping to see if you can fit a positive displacement supercharger under a stock hood, preferably alongside an LS swap (these parts are not in abundance in the UK), and i can see that's now unlikely to be where this is headed but that doesn't matter, it's why i came, but i stayed anyway because this series has been massively informative and entertaining!

I used the same LSX conversion trans mount however, I found that the torque arm would not mount directly into the cross-member bracket (the bracket is way to far to the left, drivers side) I ended up making a 3/4 inch square tubing "shim" with longer bolts to get it to fit properly. I am using a built 4L65Trans. Love your TA content, and the Tahoe as well, it just so happens I am in the same spot on my 83 Camaro. Thanks for the years of education / entertainment.
