Fly Fish Food - Sport
I got the Ridgeline Tech pack with the full vest, but already had the Cross-Current chest pack. I love that I can Frankenstein the two together. You can even just add the chest pack as a piggy-back to the Ridgeline. I keep my Euro-nymphing stuff in the Chest Pack and all my other stuff in the vest. The backpack always stays the same and I just switch them out. The water bladder slot in the Ridgeline is a life saver in the summer.
I picked up the cross current chest pack and the firehole backpack. Super impressed thus far. Love the magnet compartment
I’ve come full circle on this topic. I’m old as dirt so I was a vest guy. Then I gave all the packs a try, sling , hip, chest, one box with a lanyard…
Going back to a vest because although it’s dated it’s a very efficient system for northeast fishing. The mesh vest combined with this back pack might be the ticket.
Yep, I own it and it is a very useful system. Well built stuff, too.
Well presented!!
You forgot to mention these chest packs also work with the thunderhead backpack as well as the Wind River roll top backpacks. Great system fishpond.
I'm going to buy one specific for bushcrafting👍🏽👍🏽
That is the exact system I now use…after spending 100’s of $$. I highly recommend the larger chest pack with that ridgeline pack…very comfortable and flexible
My wife picked up the Canyon Creek tonight. I like it. I'll carry most of the stuff in my Umpqua Overlook but she'll have room for get fly box, leaders, tippet, indicators floatant, forceps, nippers and phone. I won't have to stop fishing every time she needs to change flies anymore.
Thanks for posting 🎣🐠🐟
i am using the Ridgeline TechPack combined with the Canyon Creek chest pack since July.
Never used anything this comfy and practical at the same time! Very well done Fishpond Vote A+
I have same combo. Southwest Co 🎣🏔️⚒️
The FlyBag system + your regular back pack is our solution!
I have a maxcatch sling pack and it's awesome for the price
Great! Too bad they made those attachment clips proprietary. The Mycket Bra -chest pack from Vision for example has much more universal clips which you can connect to almost any backpack. Or, use the included neck-piece to wear the chest pack independent of the backpack and put on any backpack you want. You're not so tied down to Fishpond-stuff. Not to mention it's about half the price.
Is there any way to set it up to hold a rod on your back
I'm pretty creative. Use your imagination.
I mean on the first one you showed us.
For the last few years I’ve been trying different paks (chest, sling, hip)from Simms, Orvis, cheapies. I have an older Fishpond chest pak that I’ve been using; I’ve decided on the chest pak. But it sticks out while hiking making it difficult to see my footing. I like the idea of the attachment to the back pak. I also like the smaller Canyon Creek chest pak. I believe this is going to be my system. Anyone interested in my other paks?
Totally not related to the topic of the video but that background is 👌🏼 and I’m totally gonna bite it 😂
Omg bro you just accidentally joined the Proud Boys! The SPLC is going to come after you 🫨
What chest back for four hour max fishing for a newbie
An awesome system no doubt about it. On sale now for 19.99, lol
I use their super small Canyon Creek for Tenkara fishing and it's perfectly sized. Love that pack!
Bring the Williams Joseph back with the magnetic pouches... If only Badlands did not drop the ball on fishing gears. I tried their bino case but none really fitted well to be able to wade and see where you're stepping.
You're right Ben I own the WJ current. Best pack ever. I dread there day it wears out.
@@gregb8824 I literally got my hands on a WJ confluence 2 days ago. I've searched Facebook marketplace for months!
I want buy
I give you The Wheel, reinvented.
Whoa! Leonardo DiCaprio is into fly fishing?
this would have been a lot better if they used standard buckles.
Of course there isn’t a one fits all option lol… because then they can sell 5 high priced items instead of the one…
Allen Company has herb doing this for years now. It's not new
Lots of companies have been doing this for years.
Both from Colorado🏔️⚒️🎣
Watching this review complaining about not enough room for gear is amazing? Is it not the point if you guys wanted to take less stuff you don’t! Less is more and buy a pack that gives you freedom? Otherwise get a big bag and fill it???
