Would never have thought the grenade launcher was meta for bots
It might be after 1.04 since there are a bigger number of medium enemies

People under estimate the supply pack and the raw damage output of the grenade launcher! That being said, swapping the scorcher for the blitzer and you have a meta bug build there too. The only issue i have against the grenade launcher is my bad habit of getting flinched as im shooting, resulting in my own grenade killing me. For that reason I'd swap the scorcher for my plasma punisher, the GL for either HMG or AMR and the redeemer for the grenade pistol against bots

Meta or not I still feel like the orbital meme beam should have unlimited uses and keep the long cooldown. Sure you’d only get like 1-2 more uses per mission, but watching it waste over half its lifespan on a charger/strider or chasing dropships when you know you’ve only got 3 is agonizing.
Granted when it works it’ll clear a base with no risk, but it feels like more often than not it gets stuck on something instead and I wish I had a 380 instead.

U can double up on ammo with the supply pack. If u give yourself an ammo pack then refill it from the supply drop, u get ammo both times.

The build is OP because you just call in Factory Striders to kill detector towers for you
grenade launcher seems really good at taking out devastators but it doesnt look that great against hulks since you have to run around them, especially if you have 2 or more running after you plus additional infantry. really good crowd control weapon but against bigger units under pressure then you might be in some trouble

Commando's out now, 8K requisition for it. It blows up bot fabricators from any angle. I propose Commando, Jump Pack, Eagle Cluster, and your choice of Precision Strike or Orbital Gatling (or 380, or Walking, or frankly whatever you want to patch up capability gaps).
The Commando oneshots bot fabricators, from any angle, can oneshot hulks to the visor slit relatively easily, oneshots gunships to the engine pod, twoshots _dropships_ to the engine pod and fourshots them to the central body, twoshots tanks and turrets, oneshots mortars and AA emplacements, twoshots a factory strider's cannon and oneshots each of its chin miniguns, thereby neutering it, and fourshots the factory strider once you've cracked its head armor. You get one four-round launcher every _two minutes._
It is _cracked._ It kills every big enemy faster than anything else, a single one of them can take out an entire heavy base if you don't mind leaving it full of clueless bots, and it doesn't even take a back slot.
Use the jump pack to get onto a rock, use the commando to blow up fabricators and other targets of opportunity, use the eagle cluster to blow up entire patrols, completely erasing anything Devastator-sized or smaller, and use your fourth stratagem of choice - again, I recommend the precision strike - to drop onto factory striders, detector towers, rogue research stations, and anything else your heart desires. On any map with anything even resembling clear lines of sight, you can take out half the enemy bases from a single vantage point if you have an angle on them and are willing to wait two minutes after every firing cycle.

My favorite build since polar patriot, but i run it with precision strike now (instead of orbital laser)

out of curiosity I wonder why you're not constantly calling down supply backpacks any time it comes off cooldown since it's basically free double supplies

it's a really good strat especially since the supply backpacks get marked on the map and you can leave them around like breadcrumbs for resupplying after the mission timer runs out
