  • This is the intro of my new to me, 2002 chevy 2500HD regular cab, with the LQ4 6.0 v8, and 4x4. Its mostly rust free, and a great truck to build. Subscribe to see more and drop some ideas. Thanks

Love these early '00s GM 2500HD trucks. They are my favorites!

My favorite body style also. I have the same truck in white with a 5 speed trans factory LS trim.

Super 10s sound amazing on these and for a lift kit go with a zone 2 inch lift or 3 inch adventure series trust me u will love it it’s what I did to mine that’s almost identical to this.

How did you end up wiring the manual t-case? I want to do the same to my 02 2500hd. I see that the oem manual t-case harness attaches to the c153, the t-case, the front diff, and has a ground. What I'm wondering is if the bcm needs to be reflashed to remove the tccm or if you can just unplug it and be fine. Want to make sure I don't get any service 4wd messages in the message center.

Have been having issues finding aftermarket parts for mine. Its a 2000 chevy 2500 Silverado extended cab 3-door 4x4 long bed 4-speed auto. Its was my grandpas and i got when he past he just used it as a tow rig from cheyenne, wyo up to Juliet(7 hour drive) so most miles are are towing highway. Im really tryna build it into looking like a work truck but pushing that motor all the way. Want it to be a real sleeper. But just cant seem to find the aftermarket support and im pretty sure its a me issue have been asking multiple other creators but just have gotten and answer if you of any websites i can go and look at or any info on the fact of if the 2003-2007 years have the same undercarriage that would be very appreciated. Just wanna make this think look and function as a work horse but also drive like an off-road track horse.

if you haven't built the engine yet, look up a Richard Holdener article called let's talk torque. He describes using 5.3 heads and a mild cam to make some very respectable numbers, and its a power increase from idle all the way to the rev limit.

im familliar with that actually and i will be doing something similar. that swap is great if you dont want to touch the bottom end, but ill be doing a full rebuild so i can get pistons with a dome and get the same effect.

@@1999samtheman Nice that will be a fun setup too. I think he argued that the smaller exhaust valve was better for down low torque and efficiency in a truck, but adding pop to a 6 liter like you're saying is still going to be a big improvement in low end power and it will easily make better peak numbers. Need another update vid on the SAS, I saw pics of it finished on one of the FB groups!
