By January 7, 2024 (Orthodox Christmas), I wrote this playful and dramatic song about cats because it is during Christmas that people are especially sensitive to the misfortunes of others and strive to help, although for some, this is a regular, voluntary, and conscious practice. We are cats, the street squadron,

With our fluffy paws, we tread on the roofs,
Mice beware, now you have no excuse.

We are little sleepy kitties,
In our dreams, no pain, no pities.
But we believe the day will come,
When each of us will find a home.

I may not be your pet, but I still seek affection,
Even a stranger craves some attention.
I sleep under the sky, without a roof above,
