@@maryammure5151 well I dont think soulmates even necessarily need to be romantic (not that I dont want them to end romantically but it didn't NEED to be physical and they were still enough for each other), it was more that he was teasing her about the "sappy" idea and then here he is 23 years later realizing exactly what that word means😂they both opened each other's eyes to different things and made each other better, well-rounded people. I cant wait to see where this leads us.
As I get older watching the dynamic of stabler and benson I have learned he is toxic as fuck for her. Olivia said it best... she has grown more in 4 years with Nick as her partner than she ever could with Elliot.
@@srivers1000 she probably said that cuz she was still mad at Elliot for leaving her. That means she was still in love with Elliot and she always has been. Look at what happened to her when he came back. She is back to the way she was with him all happy and giddy and crazy for him. It's like an emotional rollercoaster with Elliot for Olivia. Girlie is still in love with him.

I knew it was hinted throughout the series. Im saying if kathy ever knew or suspected. I know Dickie ask olivia on that ep his friend who elliot didnt like died. Olivia ask dickie if he & the boy were more than friends or something & dickie asked her if she ever had something with her partner. Forgot the exact words though
The letter is fascinating. We have (I’m paraphrasing episodes), …ever slept w your partner detective?, …how difficult it is to talk about the state of my marriage, …after 25 years and 5 kids you’re still wondering, Kathy filing for divorce, Eliot’s undercover, Kathy wanting to leave the relationship after Eli was born, her disbelief (?!) of Olivia and Eliot having no contact after 10 years. Kathy is tired of not trusting Eliot’s love for her. She knows it’s only his devotion and faith that binds them together. What if writing the letter and arriving for the award ceremony is a twist of her involvement w the organized crime side. Kathy pulls the strings of puppet Eliot. She is working w Angela to eliminate Olivia. It’s a final fuck you to Eliot but Angela turns the knife on Kathy instead. And then we have Angela’s motives…hmmm. Lots of questions. As to Eliot and Olivia, there is infinitely more power to not consummate the relationship. I have to admit it’s thrilling and frustratingly painful to not reach the final climax.
And Olivia 's first boy Friend is coming on the show. The one she was dating and referring as her soulmate , Season 1, when she met Stabler.
Good...Hope Elliot will be jealous. As jealous as his wife used to be. -diabolic laughter-

I don't understand either what was Kathy's intention with this. She was the one who insisted to attend Liv's ceremony and was the one behind must of what was said in the letter. My only guess is she still felt insecure and wanted Elliot to let go of Olivia but that had already happened, tha's why I don't get after 10 years why she felt that need.
@@nirvanessa ya know I'm kinda on the fence about what her intentions were... maybe if Elliot talks about it while sober we could understand a little better. I want to give her the benefit of the doubt. To be fair, if she hadn't died Elliot only would've been in the city for a few weeks and then gone again. They never would have been together, so maybe she was trying to give them both some sense of closure. Or also, I mean ultimately if her goal was to get the two to speak again then it totally worked. I do get that part, because even if it wasn't true to either of their feelings, it did temporarily remove a ton of pressure on Liv's part and made her comfortable speaking to him again. Which means it'll be interesting to see how they interact now. They both seem to be terrified of losing each other again AND getting too close to each other so we'll see. Im starting to trust Ilene to write us a good story though.

He was drugged under cover and made his way to her apartment, that’s when he started to explain the letter and by the end he had gone to set down a glass of water and started to fall and she caught him as he was kind of passing out
