- Some pretty old footage that I kind of just left rotting on my hard drive for a project that never happened. So, might as well put it to some use for a video since there was actually some pretty exemplary combat to show how dominant a comparatively less sophisticated aircraft can be in the correct setting. I'll probably be doing more Fulcrum or even Flanker content in the future, but I'm just so hooked on the Strike Eagle that it may take a while lol

I love flying F-16, but i also love the Flanker. Its my go-to soviet plane. I like to hide in the mountains when opponents arent high. I had no idea how soviet radar works, and i thought those numbers on the right side of the hud were how high antena elevates.. Basically i learned a lot today, really looking foward to flying it later today.

I like using Iranian Jester in the same way to setup Sparrows. He works great if you tell him the intercept and keep updating him before lock.
how does the 530 compare to the sparrow? i alway seem to loose to the mirage even when i fire first and crank/dive
The Super 530D is the best Fox-1 in the game aside from the R-27ER, but the ER is in a whole different class in terms of rocket motor strength. The Super 530D will beat a sparrow and an R-27R every time. The limiting factor to the 530D is the lack of battery life. A 45 seconds battery life means it basically has a max possible range of 25 miles. So you can sometimes outrange them with a sparrow in extreme conditions. The best way to beat a mirage is to just force them to shoot and then notch. They only get two of them and the Mirage radar is easy to defeat with chaff and notching.
@@PrezDCSglad somebody says it. Everyone thinks a 530 is a death sentence, but they get defeated all tbe time because people respect and fear them. If I fly the Mirage I hold fire until extremely close because people will just dive away & run if you launch at the edge of NEZ. Often the kills come from magics after the 530 is notched.
@@Taipan303 yeah, the only part of the mirage that’s a death sentence is the invincibility shield it calls a jammer and the ufo flight characteristics. Other than that, I would only rank it second on a list of best Fox-1 jets
