I like how they wrote Danni as deliberately unlikeable, and that we're not supposed to root for her. Also, while other movies might have Danni publicly apologising, and everyone instantly forgiving her, this one has her be alienated from everyone around her due to her deceit.
This is going on daily, just most don't get caught. She could have gotten away with it though. She could have lied about the photos and say that she photoshopped them because she wanted her picture to look better.

I have to disagree with that to be privilege one would have to gain something, the girl lost everything in the end plus you don't have to be white to do what she did in fact I seem to remember an a famous African American lying about being attacked for attention a couple years ago.
