    I love the way you teach these wire wrapping pieces. You explain every step and show them several times whereas the beginner jeweler , like myself, can keep up with you and not have to rewind the steps. thank you. I will keep looking for all your videos.

    Was is a hurry and skipped through the video to figure out the braid style.
    I then applied it to 7 strands of 20 gauge wire. This shows how easy your explanations and demonstrations are. Good job

    Your tutorials are clear, well filmed, and easy to understand. I've watched many tutorials on wire wrapping and found yours to be the most educational. Thank you for the time you've taken to teach others your craft. It is greatly appreciated! Do you have a video with ideas for specific practice exercises and/or tips for people that are just beginning to work with the wire wrapping techniques? If not, is that something that you'd be willing to do? I'm really excited about starting out with wire wrapping and all of the endless creative possibilities. My aggressive form of progressive Multiple Sclerosis has begun to effect my gross and fine motor skills making many things very challenging but I love making jewlery. Making jewlery is a great way to makes sure I keep working with my hands which slows down the degenerative process. I'd really appreciate any assistance and guidance you can offer me, people in similar situations, and people who are looking for some tips because they love this hobby. Let me know if it's easier to send you my contact information directly. Thanks!

    I have just tried this and feeling very frustrated as my wire woven ring base turned out well, but can be improved on with practice, but despite pausing and rewinding I was not able to achieve the knot. As I froze various frames I thought I had it right but I must have missed a couple of moves. I will have another go but feeling a bit cross-eyed at the moment! This is the first one I haven't followed. I think your designs and instructions are wonderful.

    Very cute ring, youre my favorite Wire Jewelry instructor.
    I dont know if you've done a video on types of wire for beginners or not but with me being new and needing to practice a lot.
    I need a very cheap and practical type of wires to practice with.
    And it has to still be a nice wearable non tarnishing piece of jewelry.
    I was thinking about stainless steel or aluminum that can be bought in bulk or bigger wheels of inexpensive wire at the local hardware store or online.
    I would love it, if you will give us some pointers on how to work with these 2 metal wires. What gauges should be used? if it should be hard or soft wire? Any help that you can give us on inexpensive quality wire Im not talking about cheap Junk throw it away after one wear but good expensive wire would be greatly appreciated...
    Thank You, ❤👍👍

    OK, gave this a go, the weaving was fine but I did get confused as to which wire went where for the knot and struggled a bit pulling them through so lost nearly all the curves. having said that I'm new to wirework so maybe I need to practice more ( maybe on something simpler first!

    • @CSLdesigns
      @CSLdesigns  Před 9 lety

      Karine Oldale I'm sorry about that. It can be a little confusing, but just try and make sure that all the wires are crossing over and under each other so no single wire is crossing either over or under more than one wire at a time, and you can also work on the curves a bit more once you have the wires in place to get it just how you want :-)

  • @CSLdesigns
    @CSLdesigns  Před 8 lety +1

    To cinnamongirlx1. I hope you get this as I can't seem to reply straight to you. They don't have the big reels of wire available on the website very often anymore. So that's why it's probably hard to find, but otherwise it would be under materials. They tend to keep them for kits for their live shows now :-)

    The knot in the center of the ring can be found in books of knots and macrame books. Anyone having problems with the knot, i would suggest you try the knot in cord first - don't pull it tight as that pulls the knot out of shape as a design piece. This shows you how to make the knot www.cutoutandkeep.net/projects/diy-rope-bracelets .

    extremely hard for me to follow due to the many angles and different positions while wrapping. would have been much easier if the angle of the piece stayed the same...beautiful piece though.

    Hi there,
    I was wondering what do you do if your weaving is too much when you put it on the mandrel on the size you want?

      +Steven Zhunio-Hoffman All you can really do is undo some of the wrapping that you've done to reach the size you want, unless you just want to make a bigger one then :-)

    I have great difficulty working from the reel, as it seems to get kinked and knotted. What's the trick, please???

    • @CSLdesigns
      @CSLdesigns  Před 8 lety

      +Personophe48 I know what you mean. It isn't as easy as cutting off a length, but I think it's just a matter of getting certain habbits while working with the wire off the reel, as do a bit of work and then keep smoothing out the wire that's coming from the reel as you go where it tends to start to kink. And in stead of pulling more wire off the reel by just pulling it over the top (if you know what I mean), then actually turn the reel to get more wire off. That will also help prevent the wire from wanting to twist as much :-)
