I do think he had no idea how long it would take to tell the story, especially when he started adding things like the Warlords and the Supernova. Oda is so brimming with ideas he can't help but add to his story. Of course now in the Final Saga it seems he's trimming the fat and finally giving us the finale he's been waiting to write for so long

It's over there" it could be translated as if he meant it's LITERALLY right there as he smiled and died. People fled the town in search of the One Piece not knowing that they had been right next to it the entire time. If you look at the One Piece title logo, The letters "ONEP" are all a blue color that represents the first half of the grand line, the "I" is red Luffy icon which represents the red line, the letters "ECE" are blue and represent the New World. After that there's a rope attached to the E that leads back to the beginning where the letter "O" is represented by a skull and crossbones. What if the rope means you must go back to the beginning and the X that the skull and crossbones in the letter O means that X marks the spot for the idea that the One Piece is located underneath reverse mountain right next to loguetown? Reverse mountain has an X on it as well and it fits with the X made by the skull and crossbones of the title logo. It would also make sense why Crocus is waiting at reverse mountain just as Reyleigh is waiting at saboady. We also know that Luffy will come back to meet Laboon, so he WILL return to reverse mountain eventually. bruh its pretty obvius now, Roger had orders. Shanks to steal and give gumgum nika to his son ace but luffy ate it by misstake. Then he helped Luffy out to the sea, saved his life and inspierd him. Crocus to help luffy navigate through gands line, Reylie to help luffy get strong before the new world and make it possible to go to fisherman iceland. And roger gave up himself to start the great pirate era to keep WG busy to not hunt joyboy down. And Oda to open Wano for luffy. The key to one piece is joyboy and is probebly Uranus that will help destroy the WG and free the people. Shanks saw that luffy become joyboy and wanted to help him get one piece. Didnt you se that it took roger 20 years and luffy 3 years to navigate throught the grand line, roger made it easier.
