This bring back memories from when I was a kid...all three movies are great and it incorporates a lot of science. I'm going to show these movies to my kids.
Lol why you responding to something I said four years ago? I don’t care if there isn’t any real science in the movies. The movies are still entertaining.
+popoff21 IT doesn't make tears come down MY eyes, but it IS a hearwarming scene, especially that the once terrified crowd realizes that he's not a monster, but a sweet innocent baby
***** I own the DVD set which also includes "Honey We Shrunk Ourselves" but not the first film. Odd. Anyhow I wouldn't be surprised if the child originally was not supposed to cry. Could be that "he" (one of the twins who played him)just started to cry because he might have been tired or what have you, and they decided to film that.
***** In the third film, Adam is age progressed to 10 or 11 years old and he remains normal sized througout, it's his parents who "change size" I guess with Nick and Amy no longer living at home they had to agev him. Plus it probably takes place much later than this film
***** I seem to remember audiences applauding when Diane knocked Hendrickson out with a blow to the jaw, when Isaw this in theaters. Also that scene was part of the trailer shown on TV. Diane was a giant(ess) for only 2 minutes or less. That's probably the shortest duration of time that an onscreen enlargement has lasted, There may be others though, I just haven't seen them
Marcia Strassman was on Mash TV show and honey I shrunk the kids 1989 and she was in honey I blew up the kid and didn't come back in her role in honey we shrunk ourselves
The background music that is played after Giant Diane puts down the chopper sounds to me a LOT like IT'S ALL COMING BACK TO ME NOW written by Jim Steinman

Has anyone seen the third film HONEY WE SHRUNK OURSELVES? It takes place almost a decade after this film so Adam is age progressed to 10 years old, and played by Brandon "Bug" Hall. Nothing happens to him in the third film
+Chris Mulwee I have seen "Honey We Shrunk Ourselves" and I thought it was a good film. I would have loved if they made a fourth film called something like "Honey We Blew Up Ourselves" (since the shrinking machine was donated away) where the adults accidentally made themselves grow large with the machine breaking at the same time and the adults had to figure out a way to shrink themselves back down to normal size. Plus if they made a fourth film, I would have loved if Amy was on it married to Russ Thompson and Nick on it married to Mandy Park where Amy was a famous actress after attending Shakespeare camp and Nick's a famous scientist after attending Science camp while Adam is a baseball pro after attending baseball camp.
Correct me if this is worng, but unlike the first film in which the kids KNEW that they had been shrunk, Adam is too young to realize something is wrong, he has NO clue that the cars are real cars and the building are real. And when dad shrinks them back to normal, he, I assume just thinks Dad is taking a picture.
Adam was younger than Nick was when he got shrunk. At Adam's age he treats the whole thing no different than the average imagination moments kids experience. When a kid plays with say dolls that look like regular people, he treats them like regular people. So when a kid like Adam gets grown into giant size he treats the real people and cars like it's his toys.

In the third film, Honey We Shrunk Ourselves Adam is age progressed to 11 years old, and unlike this entry, nothing regarding the shrink/enlarging ray affects him/ He remains normal sized throughout. However he DOES learn how to work the machine at the end to unshrink his parents.

Even without that, one of the things that they did when they were discovered in Shrunk Ourselves was give Adam and the kids instructions on how to use the machine.
Shanethefilmmaker Yes I believe Wayne told him later on when he was older. i was kind of surprised that in the third film he and the other kids at his party after discovering his shrunken parents, he didn't talk about the time his dad made him into a giant. After all in this film Nick tells Mandy how he, his sister and the nieghborhood kids, were shrunk two years earlier.
It is so nice to see a mother and child to be reunited together 🌹.

Lol when I was little I loved when the mom saved him. But I hated this kid so much I couldn't watch it anymore.
