How about endgame weapons, armour sets and armour skills?
I'd like to see a video on Eruzerion. The first time I saw it I thought "a fire and ice Zinogre, kinda cool". But I watched MaestroNox fight it before Frontier shut down and I loved it. I also learned it was one of the hardest fights so I want to learn more.

Now that its possible to play the MHFZ on your own private server honestly some full fight gameplay would be sick. I originally played Frontier as long time ago, so there wasn't as many monsters. I'm currently trying the exotics at High Rank (I think) and they are so beyond anything else in this rank. I only have to look at them and they destroy me.
How? And it's possible to learn this power?

@@gabrielmorga2326 CZcams - 'How to Setup Monster Hunter Frontier ZZ Community Edition 2022' that's how I did it. You will need to download some applications for database management and translations but it works great :) They have a public discord should you want to hunt with people as well.
@@Kyfow Unfortunately yes it has been stolen (though it was just given then uploaded without permission) from a dude named 'fist' and his team and the reason to why they haven't released their own yet is because they wish to release the game in a fully finished state with their own sets of rebalances and fully translated. Tifa (the thief) released it early and is working on it aswell with their own team and release updates frequently including translations. I started playing it out of fear that with the early release capcom would send them a cease and desist and the game would then never come to light. The game currently is 90% playable and mostly translated with the things missing being mostly tied to events (not the same as event quests). Personally it's up to you to decide whether to use it or not but it's hard to put morality and trust on a group that has no public presence (i couldn't even find a single person other than fist that is working on the project and even fist himself ive only ever found speaking on his own website and a cameo on github, no reddit, no twitter, no discord, nothing he is just invisible) or even just a message every now and then on how development is going.

IMO Exotic Narga, Brachy, Gore, Shagaru, and Seregios were the best Exotics to make it into Frontier.
A shame Barioth didn't get much of a change both fight wise and visually, he desp needs some love from Capcom...
Also it's goddamn hilarious that fucking Uragaan of all monsters CRASHED SERVERS ON LAUNCH BECAUSE HE ROLLED INTO THE GROUND TOO HARD. 😂
Cool! I wanted to see a video comparing mainline and Frontier monsters.
I've started playing Frontier a few days ago on a private server. I just hit GR200 yesterday and these videos are serving as a sort of a 'guide' to me with your explanations of all these systems and mechanics, as well as pointing me in which directions i should go now and what i should do. I feel like an MH noob again and these videos are of great help, so thank you for making them!
i never knew much about Frontier, but ive been watching a few of your vids on it. seemed like a pretty awesome experience tbh, makes me hope to see more frontier monsters or monster movesets in future Rise updates!

New sub! Been binge watching quiet a few of your videos and I'm always down to watch anything monster hunter related. Been here since the very first! (Remember trying MH for the first time when DMC3 came with a demo disk of MH1) mum got me a psp for Christmas one time and the game she got with it was MH portable. Can't tell you how much I love this series and wish we got to play frontier, the monsters seem so unique and cool looking! Shout out to the Ad Hoc party boys on ps3, 6 weeks holidays off school was on there pulling all nighters night after night bashing MHFU. Those were the days ~ keep the vids coming love them!!
It's a shame Frontier had to shut down when it did. I was so eager to see how they would transition monsters from 5th gen in to Frontier, given the drastic differences in engine at that point.
Funny enough I think Frontier closed because they didn't want to share monsters with the new releases
@@wasabiguy2450 that was the case early on, like players wanting to be exclusive and not introduce any more new monsters to the main series after Hypnotrice and lavasioth. However frontier died out because the exclusivity eventually made it cannibalise itself. It was extremely irritating to try to play frontier if you weren't from Japan, and you ran the risk if perma bans if it was figured out
MMOs gradually getting more and more expensive to maintain didn't help, and because they basically did everything in their power to prevent people from playing this game they didn't do themselves any favours

@@wasabiguy2450 That would be really weird and stupid. Capcom didn't adapt Frontier monsters because 1: really petty fans whined about Lavasioth and Hypnocatrice (even though they were designed for mainline and just made it into Frontier first, which is the weirdest part of that snafu) and 2: the teams developing mainline felt that most Frontier-original designs did not actually match the "monster hunter aesthetic" (obviously there are exceptions, Espinas which is after all Rathian with a man jaw being one of them), though I think that's a bit of an odd hangup since some of Ichinose's monsters like Zinogre, Astalos, Glavenus and even Nargacuga feel more like Frontier monsters than mainline ones aesthetically.
However, the reason Frontier closed is that the entirety of Capcom Online Games (COG) was liquidated, so ALL their games were closed, including Dragon's Dogma Online and Monster Hunter Explore. Over the years, COG's games had been gradually shut down as their usership waned, but Frontier's usership, as I understand it, had not really waned, and usership of Explore was still increasing (DDO, sadly, was not such a case and really was dying from what I've heard; I never got around to trying it). Officially, Capcom released statements about each of the games shut down at the end of 2019, and said that the COG ID (ie your login info with COG-run games) would be merged with your Capcom ID and would still enable access to the same services, except every single service COG ID worked for was "individually" shut down at the same time, so this was actually a bold-faced lie. Not surprising since despite the recent perplexing torrent of people claiming Capcom is a good company because they really listen to fans (because they happened to buff someone's favourite weapon in Sunbreak or something), they are almost as disgustingly anti-consumer as other notorious game companies like Nintendo or Ubisoft, and always have been.
Anyway, if "sharing monsters" were the issue Stories would not have gotten a sequel, either, because it has non-mainline monsters as well (with Frontier-esque designs).

Gun? There's your problem, as I understand it unlike mainline where gun is always strong in Frontier if you want fast hunts you use magnet spike.

You might not recognize me but I've been here watching the channel for quite a while now.
I've always been the biggest frontier fan since the dawn of time, and always tried to discuss and expel the usual BS views that people had of the spinoffs for a long while now.
Through all of that, your channel and Chrono's have given me quite a bit of solace knowing there are others that share my love of this franchise in the west, aching at every chance to see it represented again, so I Thank you and hope you keep trucking on with those frontier vids!
I recently got to play this masterpiece of a game, and hot damn, it really lived up to my expectations, and there's still more for me to experience XD.
However, one thing for sure that I find troublesome is the fact that I speedrun in mainline games, and I like to play/main every single weapon in each Monster Hunter Game I play. Frontier is great and all, but I'm unable to figure out certain combos for unique moves and actions on some weapons, having to figure it out a bit sluggishly on my own.
Because of this, could I possibly request some videos involving more weapons being reviewed from frontier? You've done things like Swaxe, Magnet Spike, etc, but I need some lesser known stuff like Frontier's Gunlance and Frontier's Dual blades combos and moves with each rank if possible.

I think I’d like to do more videos like the SA and GS Frontier ones, there’s only so many weapons I’m properly familiar with in Frontier however. Probably if I do another it’ll be SnS (REALLY good weapon btw), and it’ll be in the same format as before, since I haven’t really done full in-depth weapon tutorials so to speak.
As for the other weapons, I’ll be sure to branch out too, I’ve been trying Lance as well so I think it’s worthwhile topics to cover (: thanks for the comment!

If you need help, I've used most weapons, especially up to Storm Gunlance, Storm SNS, and Storm Lance, so I can offer help on that matter if need be
as someone who started with mh3u, I'd love any insight on Frontier you've got! it seems like such a cool system with all these wild monsters that I'm probably never gonna get to fight, so if you wanna keep talking Frontier, then please keep it coming.

I remember when I was in high school I found a copy of Frontier for xbox 360 but didn't realize it wouldn't work on US console. Sucks bc wanted to play 😩
I love how frontier dealt with the counteractive and evasive playstyle of the hunters.
All the monsters attack animations seemed to always be a splitsecond too late or too early to bait you to counter/evade at the wrong time. And the fact that some monsters can bait you with an easily counter-able attack only to follow it up with a second, more devastating move was pure genius. I wish sunbreak monsters will be like this

Watching a lot of Frontier videos thanks to this video. But can a newer monster hunter player (started at gen) go back to later titles after the quality of life changes of XX onwards? 😕

You absolutely can, it takes a little bit of getting used to but going back to simpler times can be a lot of fun!
My personal recommendation would be to try Portable 3rd, it’s the best combination of modern and old school MH, plus it’s put together as tight as a bomb shelter
IMO everything past Tri feels completely playable, but full disclosure that I started with 3U, and I do miss certain QOL features when I go back to P3rd or 3U. (Newer games had some nice stuff but I don't really miss it when I play 4U, except for being able to remove all decorations at once (added in X) or grab equipped decos off of other pieces of armour (added in world).
Also seconding P3rd. If it had G rank there is basically no question that it would be THE BEST Monster Hunter experience. Instead that title goes to 4U IMO.

Man, seeing how these updates were back then and now playing it private server whit my gf (currently HR5/Gou rank) having a Blast playing it when we find time, for my 2 ever Monster hunter game I have alot of fun and Rukodiora being my absolute favorite, PLS LET HIM RETURN TO SUNBREAK/6th Gen Capcom.
But 1 thing I noticed: the difficulty spike from High rank to gou rank is big xD buy thx to playing whit my gf it helps me to deal whit this spike

Some of these moves would be a perfect fit for sunbreak monsters. They all feel a bit slow and weak compared to the hunter.
Some of them came back,but got terribly nerfed (obviously)

I’ve never played frontier but now that I know what it entails and how much people who DID play it loved it, I’m hoping we get a similar game in the future. The more I see if it the more I wish I had experienced it too…
It'll be possible to play again (technically already is), via private servers. Dig around for "monster hunter frontier private servers" and you'll find info pretty quickly. Sadly as far as I can tell MHO has no such project in progress despite being a wonderful game with some quality monsters entirely unique to it and generally nice aesthetics, and it's outside my realm of expertise so it's not like I'm gonna be the one to make it.
